Attended the 44 sounds hearing aid centre in March 2023. Looking for a great hearing aid centre look no further. Kate is extremely passionate about her business and this is clearly shown by the high quality of care shown to her patients. She takes time to address her patients needs and answer all questions and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.The testing is very thorough and if hearing aids are in fact required Kate is very knowledgeable and can advise on the options available and assist to make sure you obtain what is best for your situation. In the interests of full disclosure, I am not a patient of The 44 Sounds, have never purchased anything from them nor even visited their office. That may seem like a strange way to begin a recommendation but, please read on.Our paths crossed when one of my hearing aids had a problem. The technician at the local branch of the nation wide audio store where I originally made my purchase told me my hearing aids were too ancient (6 years old) to be fixed. I was skeptical. Was this the straight goods or a money grab?I reached out to several clinics around the province offering hearing aid repair services for a second opinion. Two replied. One was Kate Powell of The 44 Sounds. Thanks to her skill and dogged determination, she was able to uncover the make and model of my hearing aids, contact the manufacturer and learn that repairs were indeed no longer possible. I have no idea how much time and effort this took but I suspect it was considerable, all the while knowing that I was unlikely to become a client as I live just outside Calgary and Kate is located in Edmonton.Kate then went on to give me a lot of great advice on things to look for when choosing a hearing clinic, stressing that hearing aids alone were just one part of the solution. Skilled and knowledgeable staff members plus appropriate equipment were just as important.I can not thank Kate enough for all the time and effort she expended researching my problem and answering my questions. If this is the level of service she provides to random stranger, I can only imagine the level of care she gives her actual patients. They must be a very fortune group indeed. So much so that I am considering the three hour drive north to become one.

Kate is amazing and takes the time needed to explain everything in detail and answer questions. She did some hearing tests on me that I've never had before. She is also open on the weekend which is super helpful! I will be going only to her future forward!!

Very professional and great service. Kate is very knowledgeable and caring and thoughtful. I was sick and my eustachian tubes got blocked during a flight, i went there to get my hearing tested as i thought this was my hearing loss, but Kate very well explained to me that its a problem with the eustachian tubes getting narrowed and blocking air pressure in the ears preventing me from hearing. thank you so much.

I had an incredible experience here. The testing was incredibly thorough and everything was explained to me clearly. I often think of the hearing aid industry as just that, an industry, but Kate Powell was informative, comprehensive in her testing, and compassionate in the care of her service. My husband recently suffered a head injury resulting in significantly reduced hearing and ability to understand speech. Kate, at the 44 Sounds clinic is profoundly knowledgeable and was able to clarify his condition and make astute recommendations. Great service, Kate is very knowledgeable. I was able to have my hearing tested at the Mill Woods Seniors Center. I was a walk-in at the Centre. I had been planning for the last few years to have the test but the convenience of on site testing spurred me on. Kate has fully tested both my ears developed a plan to help me improve my hearing. She helped implement the plan and has since programmed and recalibrating my hearing aids, several times. I highly recommend seeing her if you suspect any hearing loss.

Kate is very thorough and helpful. She took the time to explain everything, and answer questions during the examination. She truly cares about the health of her clients, and is very knowledgeable. I recommend that you see Kate, especially if you’re concerned about your hearing, but even if you’ve just not had your hearing checked before.
