Jansen sharpened my scissors and all my knives to better-than-new condition! If you have a free Saturday morning, a $5 bill, and a pocket knife, go get it sharpened while having some food, drinks, & fun at the Tower Grove Farmer's Market!

I've been in need of knife sharpening for a while now. I'm no pro, but even I could tell the knife set that was given to us for our wedding 5 years ago needed to be sharpened. I took my knives to the Farmer's Market in Maplewood to meet with Jansen Sharpening. Half hour later, my knives were as good as new (tested them at home that evening). Fast, professional, and answered all my questions. This place is sharp!

Love Jansen Sharpening. Maria knows her way around a blade and I am never disappointed. Her edges have lasted me almost a year with heavy use and she is extremely considerate with how you like your edges. For example, if you have a Japanese blade, she will make sure you get back a Japanese blade or ask if you want to change the edge to a German edge. She explains the pros and cons of each type and helps you make a decision that best fits your lifestyle and knife habits. The reason I call this out is because sometimes people feel it’s OK to change your edge without your permission, and she doesn’t roll like that.Highly recommend Jansen Sharpening and it is always worth it! If you get to the market, go early because she fills up fast and you may have to wait. She even does lawnmower and other interesting edges, so she can handle all your sharpening needs! Oh, also she has saved me a fortune on my knives because good maintenance is way cheaper than new knives!

Maria and her team offer a very charming, efficient and helpful service. I brought in my rotary mower to the Jansen tent at the TG Farmers Market and then picked it up a week later. Not only had they sharpened the blades but they had also lubricated it so it was nice and quiet. I highly recommend Jansen Sharpening.
