Started going to SPC in February of 2016. Had my first rotator cuff repair. David very professional and knowledgeable. All his staff is great. Christine is the glue and is an awesome individual. David has an all around great team that really care about your wellbeing! I cant say enough about SPC. I am still going there today.....with my 3rd rotator cuff repair! Would have given them 10 stars!!

Best physio I have ever experienced! David and his team have been partners in my recovery from a shattered patella (kneecap). It’s a long and difficult rehab (going on a year now) — one that means I will never be the same as I was before my fluke accident. But with their support and encouragement, I am doing better than most people with similar injuries. What makes them stand out from other physios — even sport specific ones — I have been to for treatment?- strong focus on manual treatment — they are hands-on, rather than just attaching a machine and walking away (that comes after, if I need it)- excellent communicators — they describe things in ways that everyday people can understand them and don’t use big words without explaining what they really mean- wellness focus — there are physios, kinesiologists, physio assistants, massage therapists, nurse, fitness trainer and naturopath under the same roof. My treatment is better because I can access them all — having different people work with me has meant my body (and mind) never gets too “used to” the techniques of one person. That has helped me through the plateaus in my recovery in a big way! Plus there’s an in-house gym where I can work out under the oversight of my team!- great people — it’s a big family of people who truly care about my success! They are enthusiastic in support of my recovery and are genuinely kind. That matters in medical professionals — they’re all smart, but don’t all have great people skills. EVERYONE at Shelburne Physiotherapy Centre has great people skills.- great community supporters — everyone is welcome here, from private clients like me (with some benefits) to WSIB to seniors with knee replacements supported through OHIP. They give back to the community because they care about Shelburne and area! I really like that!Honestly, I can’t believe I have access to a Centre and people like this in my backyard! It’s big and offers so much more than I could have imagined in a small-town physio! I went to a big sports med physio in Brampton for a torn tendon in my thumb due to a hockey injury a few years ago. I went for several months and had lots of TENS treatment, but it wasn’t until the 12-week point that the physio (who was sweet; a good guy) realized what my real injury was! Why? Because he barely laid his hands in my injury. I didn’t know enough then to realize I was misspending my time and money (out of pocket) going there.Go here if you want to truly be cared about and if you want to get better! Of course, you get out what you put into your physio — that’s a big part of recovery. But David and his team will encourage you to put everything you can into it.

They care. Plain and simply put; the care. My Grand Daughter broke her arm in July of 2016, she then had surgery and pins to repair the damaged bones but 4 to 6 weeks in cast for a child who is still developing is certainly not good. When the cast came off, the arm was stuck at 90 degrees and unfortunately my daughters health benefits covered about 6 visits to a different physiotherapist. Through social assistance, my daughter was able to get my grand daughter into Shelburne Family Physio where with 2 visits a week for close to three months, they had the arm dead straight. Yes that's their job but what was extraordinary was the extraordinary effort in refusing to allow the child to finish after the assistance expired but the arm was not ready, at their cost they completed the therapy until her arm was completely straight and at 100% strength and usability. THEY CAREUPDATED: Feb 17/2018 - Blew out my rotator cuff at work and comp provided unlimited treatment access for Physio of my choice. Obviously the team to do the work was an easy pic! Shelburne Family Physio absolutely rocks and had my shoulder repaired within a 4 month period of very intensive treatments twice weekly on top of providing me with homework (exercises) assignments; Trust me - do the exercises they give you at home or the recovery time is much, much longer. I worked as hard as they did because I listened to their advice and trusted their expert views.
