Another unsatisfied customer. Small carriage clock taken in to have hinge repaired. When I got it back home it stopped. Took it back and was told that I must have been fiddling with it. I asked why after 12 years of ownership I would suddenly decide to fiddle with a clock that had been working perfectly well. The response was that that if I wanted it to work that I could pay £100 for a service. Quite rude and an appalling attitude. More recently took the clock to another watch/clock repairer and found out they subcontract their work to this man - so beware. Its sad that anybody in this line of business can treat customers in this way

I had a beautiful old clock my dear mother gave me and it had worked beautifully for years until recently, I took it to this shop in Bexhill-On-Sea to be repaired, I was told by the owner,( a gentleman,)that it couldn’t be repaired but that he could replace mechanism with a battery for £45. I agreed but unfortunately, when I picked it up the pendulum hadn’t been fitted properly and kept falling off, he agreed to take another look at it and told me it had been fixed, when I got home I attempted to set time in usual way by moving the big hand, unfortunately the hands appeared to be stuck on as the little hand wouldn’t move at all. I rang him today and he was so rude and horrid to me and slammed the ‘phone down as I was still talking. I have always tried to support local, small businesses, especially in this present climate re: COVID. I feel so terribly let down.
