Our first time at Angie's was fantastic. At first we were disappointed that Wu's was gone, but this is a worthy successor. The menu is small, but this is a blessing because you'll want to try everything on it! The prawns are a must have! They're still working out some of the operational kinks of running a restaurant, but our order was accurate and everyone was super friendly.

The sign says open on Saturday from 5 to 8:30. Well it’s 5:45 and it ain’t open. Also cash and debit only. And no change. I didn’t know they’re going with pre-historian Malaysian payment style. Also there’s a fedex sticker from yesterday noon. Meaning they didn’t open this morning and yesterday afternoon.Safe to assume this shop is closed for good.

First time happened to see this restaurant open, their opening time is pretty limited for lunch & dinner. Decided to give it a try. Small place, staff were friendly, you get a menu & photos of food with food name on it. That is pretty cool especially for diners who are interested in trying the food but are unfamiliar with it. There is limited choices in the menu.We chose Nasi Lemak & Hainanese Chicken Rice. The nasi lemak came with curry powdered fried chicken wings, shredded cucumber, fried peanuts & fried anchovies. Overall the taste is decent just not used to the green coloured rice , that is cooked in coconut milk. The best part of the fish is the sambal, that is da bomb ! The Hainan Chinese rice was okay, the rice was not strong enough. Some of their dishes on the menu are pretty expensive when there is no meat on it. For example the Sambal stir fried green beans was about $16 or the fried noodles.

Let me start by saying, I love mom and pop shops so I had really high expectations going in. I had tried to come here almost 3 times but they were closed due to the holidays and they don't open on one of the days of the week. It was difficult trip. The good: the Kaya toast was pricey but the Kaya was good and the with butter, even better. everything else was just meh. Chicken wasnt particularly smooth or flavourful. The laksa noodles and broth were average and well there's not much left to say because it was all just ... Meh. The service was really good though (which is why I love mom and pop shops). They were considerate and attentive.

Excellent hidden gem. Cozy family own business. Super friendly service. Very authentic Malaysian food. The buttermilk prawns are amazing. Stumbled across this while heading to a closed restaurant nearby. Now a regular stop for me.

Menu has small selection of items to choose from. However they have the majority of Malaysian favorites like laksa, hainanese chicken and rice, meegoreng, sambang green beans, etc. My curry chicken rice was flavourful but the chicken was slightly overcooked. It was served with coconut rice but I could not quite taste the coconut.

Decided to try this restaurant last night because the pictures look so good, and I was blown away by how good it is! The laksa is super rich and flavourful and the they didn't skip on the presentation and toppings! They ran out of hainese chicken so we ordered the curry chicken with rice. The curry is pretty tasty but chicken breast is a little lean. I would prefer chicken thigh. The small restaurant is ran by a couple that's probably why the menu is not too big. Their menu only have words on it but you can ask for photos of the food items. Wish the menu has pictures though. We will definitely come back for the laksa and other dishes we want to try in this friendly hidden gem that's right in our neighborhood!
