A true gentleman. I had a winding issue with my Panerai, it took him 10 min to fix. It's rare to find people with honesty and craftsmanship. Will definitely recommend his service.

Norbert is the real deal. I trust him 100% with everything from my quartz beater to my higher end pieces. Before discovering him, I took a quartz watch with a leaking battery to the Bay for a quote. They told me it would have to be sent back East for a complete overhaul that it would cost north of $175. I declined. Years later I took it to Norbert, he cleaned and serviced it and had it up and running in 15 min...And the bill was well under $50.I then handed him with confidence my family's heirloom mechanical pieces for complete servicing and overhaul: Omegas, girard perregaux, etc.Honesty, professionalism, friendliness and bonafide expertise. True Watchmakers are a dying breed, and we are fortunate to have him in our city.

Hands down the best in the game! Essentially I came in because my crown/pin came off my datejust and he was just about to take lunch before I came and he ended up fixing it right away before he took his lunch. Amazing service and truly cares about his customers!

Norbert is a true professional and knows his stuff. He helped with a watch purchase I was making and was very informative and diligent. I will definitely be bringing my collection for servicing to him. The entrance to this mini mall can be easy to miss, but its a little hidden gem within the mall.

This watchmaker has incredible knowledge, skill and vast expertise. I had a 1980s watch with a cracked crystal. I went to one of Vancouver's largest watch service companies and they told me I had to leave the watch with them for 2 weeks for them to determine if they could do the work. If they could do the work, it would take 3 months. They also said it would have to do a mandatory cleaning which was extra as there would be shard of glass in the movement. They also said it would cost a lot but it would be cheaper than buying a new watch. It sounded like I was getting the workover.I then called the watch to the German Watchmaker. He said there was a 90% chance that he had the crystal in stock. I go there and he installed the crystal right in front of me. He also cleaned the watch and lubricated the case seal and crown seal. He did all this for $60 which included the crystal, labour and the cleaning. Wow.He is very honest. When I was there, he told one customer that it was not worth it to do the requested repair. I am regretting the day that he decides to retire because there is no other watchmaker like him in Vancouver.

Norbert is the best around. Very reasonably priced, honest, and extremely talented in his trade. I will be deeply saddened when he chooses to retire. Thank you for your many years of serving the community and we're very lucky to have this gem of a store!

I was contemplating servicing my TAG Heuer Carrera as I haven't worn it for many years and when I asked where I should bring it to, everyone I talked to recommended me to go see The German Watchmaker. He's local, has a great reputation and faster than sending it to TAG. In my mind I was willing to spend $600+ for service, reconditioning and maybe purchase a leather strap. When I arrived I told Norbert what I was looking to do and within 10 mins I left with an austrian leather strap that he put on for me and recommended not to service and recondition it. He could have easily taken my money but instead was honest and wanted what was best for my intentions. As I mainly wear my Rolex to work and apple watch for casual wear, this watch was just going to be used here and there to switch it up.Overall I'm very satisfied with the level of professionalism that he provided and would definitely recommend anyone to see him!One tip, if you plan to see him, he only takes cash or cheque.

Absolutely the best watchmaker locally. Servicing of 70s Rolex went fantastic on 2 occasions. Fair pricing and top tier work.
