Absolutely awful place to go. I've seen several dermatologists here, and every time it's the same. Wait for over an hour, have their students do all the work, then the dr comes in for 5min to quickly give you a diagnosis while giving you attitude and being dismissive of your concerns and offering nothing more useful than what a google search could get you. Dr Shapiro (when he still worked here), Zhou, and Ho respectively get 0/5, 0/5, 2/5. The last one I visited being Dr Zhou, where even after repeatedly telling him I already tried the treatment he suggested and it didn't work, just kept repeating over and over again that was the typical treatment he offered and there's nothing else he can do. Then when asked a question, he answers with a question of his own! All the derms here just dogmatically talk AT you. Beyond frustrating and completely unhelpful. Don't go here, unless you like waiting for many months just to waste 1 more hour to be disappointed.

Was referred to Dr. Ho by my family doctor for eczema. My appointment was at 8:30am, I checked in and was brought to an exam room ~5 minutes later. You need to buzz in to be let into the building. A resident, Dr. O’Connor, came in after about 10 minutes of waiting. She asked questions about my medical history, did a body exam and Dr.Ho then came in to take a look. I saw Dr. Ho for maybe 5 minutes max but he was knowledgeable and cordial. The resident handled the prescriptions and was very informative! The receptionists were nice enough and definitely not rude. Hopefully my next appointment is just as nice! There is underground parking available.

I’ve seen Dr Vincent Ho for a number of issues. His explanations are thorough and recommendation honest. It wasn’t what I wanted to hear but I followed his advice.

Largely dismissive and forces patients to wait over an hour each time.

Please avoid Dr Kunimoto. I had a visit with him today after 3 months of waiting and i wish I’ve read the reviews first before i saw him. He didn’t listen to me and my concerns and didn’t give me hardly any eye contact and he was too busy on his keyboard probably writing a report so that he can get paid for my visit today. Very bad experience never go back to see him again. I feel very undervalued and has made me feel depressed.

Dr Angela Burleigh and nurse Anna gave me very personal and attentive care. They explained every step of the procedure and listened to my questions. This was important to me as I was not accompanied.

Dr. Brian Kunimoto doesn’t care about his patients preferences and only sticks to his own rigid, black and white thinking. He refused to listen to my concerns with using topical steroids and proceeded to prescribe me a special cream that contained 1% hydrocortisone. Even contradicted himself by saying hydrocortisone doesn’t thin out the skin. But when I use the special cream on my face to use less, because it may thin out the skin.He refused to offer any other treatment option (I asked to try phototherapy instead) unless I tried the cream first despite the fact that I wasn’t comfortable using something I’d be reliant on for the rest of my life. Was kind enough to say he’d like to continue being my dermatologist but told me to get a second opinion if I wasn’t willing to use the cream. Also at my second appointment he didn’t even look at my eczema before making his recommendation. What’s the point of me being there in person if you’re not even going to look at my skin?

I was extremely fortunate to go to the Vancouver Dermatologic Surgery Centre in December 2022 and receive surgical treatment for cancer (of the penile glans). From the moment I stepped into Dr. K's clinic it was very evident that communication, patient care and surgical expertise were being provided at a gold standard.Communication between myself and Dr. K's office staff was exceptional (I cant thank you enough Sinead). Dr. K's nursing staff the day of my surgery (Jennifer and Reyna) were exemplary.Dr. Fournier who was assisting with my surgery was very professional, an excellent communicator and surgically gifted.Dr Kossintseva herself is a truly gifted surgeon that personifies how medical care should be defined.I worked in health care for close to 40 years myself. I feel forever blessed that I was referred to such a wonderful surgical centre.

It's about 45 min wait after your appointment time to see the doctor. I had a few questions/ concerns and the doctor didn't really answer or give me suggestions on particular products to help with acne and dermatitis prone skin. He just gave me a steroid prescription
