Chris was able to schedule our relatively small retaining wall project amongst his other larger projects, however we were treated as a valued, important client and received first class service throughout. His team arrived on time, communicated daily, acted respectfully of the neighbours, kept the job site immaculate and finished on time and on budget. The quality of the completed work and our experience with Fortress were both top notch. On top of it all Fortress was the most competitively priced of three quotes. Highly recommend!!

We had Chris and his crew work for us on 2 separate occasions. Both times involved patios, retaining walls, concrete steps, grading and some drainage work. I have worked around trades for my whole life and I was immediately struck by their level of professionalism. The work was very impressive and their attention to detail and accuracy was evident. They always conducted themselves with dignity and were exceptional at cleaning up, sweeping the street at end of day and looking after their work site. After getting at least 6 other quotes, we had Chris see our yard/slope which is fairly complicated. He spent alot of time measuring and talking to us about what we needed. His communication was excellent and punctual emailing us clear diagrams and accurate quotes. He did his best to keep within our budget but didn't shy away from letting us know what it would take. The final cost was exactly what he quoted us. When the work started, his crew was polite, professional and fast. They kept everything to code, installing proper drainage and keeping to height restrictions.

Chris did a fence install for us at our property in Port Moody. He was fantastic to deal with. They were in and out to complete the job in a short time, cleaned up all their materials and no surprises with their quote at the end of the job. We completely redid our backyard by installing a new retaining wall and adding a new patio.Chris and his team (Kevin and Jamie) did an excellent job. We are happy with the results. Chris and his team did an amazing job on our backyard renovation project which involved bringing a significant hill to grade and reinforcing it with a retaining wall. Chris was very professional throughout the design process, provided a detailed quote that covered all aspects of the project and overall did an incredible job at ensuring our vision was fully realized. I recently used Fortress to build a cedar fence around the perimeter of my backyard. They finished my project fast and were easy to work with. I would highly recommend them.

We first used Fortress to replace some window wells that had originally been built from wood and had subsequently rotted. Chris and his crew replaced the wood with stone, and integrated it perfectly into the existing pavers. We also had him replace some retaining walls. This year we had him replace our perimeter fencing as well as another retaining wall. We have been very impressed with Chris and his crew - they did a very high quality job and the final results look great.

Chris and the Fortress crew replaced a 50 x 6 foot wooden tie retaining wall at the rear of our yard, and at the same time built a longer wall adjacent to our property for our neighbor. This was a challenging job due to difficult access for the machinery, however it was done efficiently and we are very satisfied with the results. Fortress' price was in the middle of the three firms which quoted on the project, and we consider this to be good value for the quality and speed of the work done.
