North china April 22 2023 meal suckedI was very disappointed in tonight's dinner order# /check # 73292 dated 04/22/23 at 17:06. our order was $128.20 as we order for 2 nights' dinner. We ordered 8 egg rolls that were so full of salt that made them Inedible, not sure if you make them in-house or have them shipped in but we will not be ordering them again. The chicken balls had very little meat in them and we ordered 2 orders, they were mostly breading and the cost was not worth it, we also ordered the soo gai with almond gravy, this dish is to use chicken breast but the amount of chicken that was in it the chickens must have been anorexic and there was maybe 1/2 cm in thickens of meat. The last time I saw a chicken breast it was at least 1.5 to 2 cm thick. The sweet and sour pork was mostly gristly fat which also made it Inedible. I understand that costs are going up but I would not expect the quality to go down as you have raised your prices to cover the cost. I am writing you before I go to social media to see if you take my complaint seriously. I have seen your reviews but since we have not had a bad meal from your establishment, we are returning customers. Please make this right and tell me this is not your new normal. We order from North China Buffet as it is normally very good and regardless of the bad reviews. I await your reply on how this will be corrected, your email address will not work and your contact us on your web page will not work as well.Thank you, Debby Burrows- Boutilier

Dry food and cold food it has been sitting for hours, not enough selection, tasteless. Waiters and waitresses and managers are amazing but the food isn’t it. Desserts are stale and ice cream is extremely soft and melts very fast. Overly priced as well for the food. Don’t waste your time I wish I would have listened to the reviews….

This was my first time to this buffet and they definitely made me feel good! Awesome waiter, she was very nice, friendly and very helpful considering it was my first time here. We paid a low price for the amazing service and dishes we got to eat. For the adults it was around $22 and for the kids it was around $14. The dishes were delicious and well cooked. The dessert was very good and there was a variety to pick out of. The employees were very helpful and kindhearted. Definitely would visit this place again!

Really good quality for the price point, good selection and friendly staff. Easy on the pocket if you're taking the family out for dinner, can't really go wrong with that especially during these times.

New owners appear to backslide back to the old ways. Broccoli had a weird and off-putting taste. The chicken fried rice seemed overcooked. Even the salmon fillet had an old taste to it. We went on a Saturday night right at the dinner swap, so it should have been fresh. I will not be returning.

We got there fairly often for the buffet. Most of the time it is very good. Awesome selection of Chinese and Canadian dishes. Chicken balls, egg rolls, spring rolls, chop suey, lemon chicken, mushrooms, various rice dishes, etc. Some spicy items which I do not try but some with tougher digestions may enjoy. Decent desserts including ice cream. One recent oddity, no more packages of plum sauce for the egg rolls. Have to ask for that. Service invariably good. Good to go with an appetite as there is lots of food to sample.

We went in for my husbands birthday dinner. There was 2 tables next to us, one with a dad and 3 boys, the other a dad and 4 boys. We enjoyed the many food options and each of us ate 3 heaping plates. The servers were very attentive in clearing our plates and keeping our cups filled. We went to pay and the lady told us the dad with the 3 boys paid for the dad with 4 boys. And he paid for us. We have never had that happen to us before. All the tables left were only 2 diners so we all decided on who’s bill to pay. At the counter my husband to the lady about what had happened. She said it is good luck for a random act of kindness to happen to you on your birthday. It was a great night with a great surprise.
