Shoppers Drug Mart

Usually love this store but not today!Went in to get gift cards and went to use a cashier but was denied! I was not recommended to use the self check out but forced! The woman actually took my gift cards and scanned them herself and made me do the transaction at the self checkout! I wanted a cashier to do it, with a name on the bill incase there was an issue later when the gift cards were used. To make matters worse I had planned on paying cash because I was picking them up for someone else and had to use my own debit card to pay because they don’t take cash at the self check out. Horrible service and rude!!! There are some fantastic staff at this store but this one really ruined the shopping experience!

Currently been on hold for 15 minutes waiting for the pharmacy, finally someone answers, I start to explain what I need. She stops me saying are you looking for the pharmacy? I’ll have to put you on hold until someone from the pharmacy is available. When using the prompts on the phone I clicked the option to speak to the pharmacy team about my meds. So why was I directed to customer service? Now I’m going to be waiting another 15 minutes. Unacceptable. Update: going on 30 minutes now. :Now 45.

Went to this location last night. When walking in I could see the cashier" chit chatting with a customer. I continued to do my shopping and came up to the til and stood and waited patiently. The customer she was speaking to kept giving us eye contact but the "cashier" would not turn around and acknowledge us. All cashier check outs were closed and only self check outs were open. I was wanting to ask if there was any more of a certain product they had in the back as the shelf was empty. I waited multiple minutes and finally I set my items down and left.This is super unprofessional. It is also unfortunate that our world is going this way. I don't want to check myself out that is why there should be cashiers. If you are paying them to stand there and watch us check ourselves out

Use to enjoy going here. Now they have self checkouts, which is great, but the staff are not. They forced me to use it, were rude about it and this is not the first time. And held all my items and checked me out at the checkout. If they really want to push the checkouts then fire your staff so they don’t harass me.

The staff member in the post office that I spoke to was pleasant. Although, prior to coming to SDMart, I needed to know if there were any additional fees associated with the parcel I was expecting to pickup. No one answered my calls in the postal office nor, customer service, even though I let the phone ring in excess of 10x’s. I eventually called the pharmacy. The Pharmacist finally picked up my call, put me on hold for what seemed an eternity. I was finally able to speak with someone from the post office. What a frustrating experience. Something is definitely amiss. In future, I would prefer Not to give my business to this SDMart. I would much rather do business with Canada Post in Grvhst. At least, when I call Canada Post my call is picked up promptly. If, I could give this SDMart a Zero Rating, I definitely would. My time is valuable too!

I came out to Gravenhurst for my Honeymoon last week and needed to get a weeks worth of my meds.The staff there was very friendly and fast.However once I got home, I received a call a few mins ago from The Pharmacist at this location because my script has to be transferred back to Hamilton. She seemed very upset that I had to transfer my script back and ended up hanging up on me.I hope everyone is being nice and pleasant to the staff there, as pharmacists have had a VERY hard time throughout the pandemic and have put up with A LOT of rude, entitled, people.

Similar experience as many others, forced to use self checkout. Staff extremely rude... told me to leave if I didn't like it. Wow, will never go into shoppers drug mart gravenhurst ever again. Unfriendly and rude what behavior!!! Never again.

Twice in the last 6 weeks Shoppers In Gravenhurst has Made errors on my medication. 1 was they forgot to tell me a medication was on back order I went to pick it up two days before needing it they then told me they could not get it in time. My order had to be shipped to another shoppers and got it the day I needed it with lots of running around to find a place that had it.2 I called in my order told them twice what I needed over the phone husband picked up the order not knowing what I needed. I go to check the order and it was 2 wrong prescriptions. Specialist appointment that was a 2 month wait had to be canceled I was then billed a cancellation fee from the specialist. Won’t be returning so not recommending!!

Bought a Wi-Fi extender at this store. It didn’t work. They wouldn’t accept a return. Beware of buying any electronics at @ShopprsDrugMart. They don’t take returns if the package is opened. There are no signs at the counters that tell you their policy. The self-checkout doesn’t tell you when you scan the item. On the receipt, they say “returns accepted within 30 days, see exclusions at their website”. Very deceitful practices, Taking things back at Best Buy, the Source or Walmart is never an issue, and they are always upfront with their practices.

Simon in the Pharmacy is one of the best pharmacists I have dealt with. Always friendly, remembers who you are and works with you to get the coverage you need.
