Flavourful and well priced.A side note that could be helpful. Ensuring your patrons are ordering the correct amount of rice for dishes ordered. Otherwise very good.

This place is simply fantastic. All of the traditional dishes you expect are done as well as you could ask, and their house specials (the Haandi and Balti) are also great. It's basically the only place I order from for Indian in Calgary lately. I'm going to have to try out the Pakoras and Biryani at some point soon...

I ordered some plain naan here to take out for a dish I already made at home and it ruined the taste of my food. The naan had a weird taste to it and overpowered the entire dish, probably due to a ton of black sesame seeds in the naan. Who puts black sesame seeds in naan???? This is the first time I have ever ordered plain naan from an Indian restaurant and had black sesame seeds. Not to mention, my niece is highly allergic to sesame seeds.

The food is incredible! We always order the fish vindaloo, chicken korma, and palek paneer, along with some coconut rice and amazing garlic naan. Everything is so delicious and fresh. I removed one star because each time we went there the service was slow and the waitress did not check in on how our meals were/offer more drinks etc. however Haandi is clearly a place that specializes in take out so keep that in mind. The serving sizes are very generous and you’ll have leftovers for sure!

This is a Small Indian restaurant in Calgary serving excellent food. Our group of 6 particularly enjoyed the dhal makani and the byriani. We all agreed that the butter chicken was not great (tomato soup with chunks of chicken) but everything else was tasty. Service was good. Recommended!

Disappointment. This place is VERY inconsistent. I had thought that I found a good place for Butter Chicken but it seems I was wrong.The first time was good but this time it tastes like they added way too much corn syrup to the mix. The chicken tastes freezer-burned, overcooked and dry. I am really sad now because I had been looking forward to this meal all day.

Been going here for the last year or so, and always been decent. But last weeks experience ensured that we will not be coming back.The tandoori chicken had sooo much coloring to it that my hands had that food colour for a whole 24 hours.The Naans were uncooked and just thick and not edible.Beyond disappointing.

We were super excited to see and try a new restaurant nearby. We tried a few things:Navratna Korma- Delicious and more tasty than what we've had elsewhere (comparing to many places).Vegetable Samosas & Papadums - Both good.Butter Chicken - The sauce was very good (a bit more tomato taste than others but not a bad thing). The chicken itself was extremely overcooked, very dry and even hard to cut through.Coconut Rice - Very generous with the coconut!Garlic Naan bread - Generous and tasty with the garlic but more chewy than we're used to. Possibly could be to being a takeout item?Lots of upside and would have easily been a 4.5 rating if it wasn't for the chicken.

It’s the Chinese food of Indian joints. Expensive for what you get and what you do get is not great beyond portion size. Palak Paneer was bitter, the butter chicken was way too sweet. Naan was doughy and paneer pakora coating was saltier than my review. Won’t order here again.
