Merit Kitchens

After 18 years, it was time to renovate our kitchen. We didn't want big box cabinetry and wanted something more custom and of good quality. Many of our friends had used Merit Kitchens and raved about the service and quality, so we did some research on our own and felt comfortable choosing Merit. Are we ever glad we did!! From the first on-site meeting with one of their in-house designers, to renderings, layout & product suggestions (countertops & hardware) and helpful tips, it was a pure pleasure to partner with Merit on our kitchen! They were so knowledgeable, courteous and professional to deal with. The quality of their cabinetry is outstanding! They were able to work within our budget, while still giving us superb quality and craftsmanship. It was also nice to support a Canadian company, that's been around for 50years! I would not hesitate to recommend Merit Kitchens, as we just love our new kitchen!

Great cabinets and service. Through no fault of Merit, some of our cabinets were damaged more than once during transit. Sandra was wonderful, responsive and helpful in getting our issues resolved and new cabinets sent out.

Got a vanity and tall cabinet from the Merit line for my bathroom in alder sunbleach. Finish was fantastic, order was on time and complete.

The attached pic a perfect representation of Merit. This adjustable shelf defect is what I have seen on every order so far multiple times. Shelf gouges, blown out cabinet joinery, joinery not glued and falling apart, scratched doors, finish issues and so on. So many missing finished ends, adjusted cabinet widths randomly not provided, zero communication when trucker will arrive… I’ve used many manufactured cabinet brands and have spent a lot less for better quality. Your quality control is less than big box stores merit.

As a general contractor I have been working with and installing merit kitchens in my clients homes for over 17 years. I've had Merit Kitchen cabinets since 2011 and they've held up very well and still look fantastic. However, the high-end" German Hettich hinges' soft close dampers have failed on 7 hinges. Very disappointing. I expect the other 20+ hinges to fail soon also. Since Merit has a lifetime warranty

Bought our house due to the fact that the kitchen was updated. Merit cabinets were still on warranty when they started cracking. We were told the warranty was not applicable as we had not been the ones purchasing the cabinets. So disappointed in the quality. IKEA is better. I will try to add photos.
