One of the best pet grooming place in Vancouver. My dog is quite afraid of nailtrims and showers and get nervous easily. I can tell instantly all the employees here love animals, I would not trust any other places other than Dharma dog. They are caring, patient, professional which explains why they are always fully booked for weeks. So glad to have them in my area, they always take good care of pet so I can be worry free.

We can’t thank Dharma dogs enough for the amazing service. Our little Maltese has high anxiety and tends to show teeth when anyone approaches him around his feet and face. After a horrible experience with another local groomer, we found Dharma and explained our concerns. They were happy to take him in and went over the process with us. Their professionalism and attention to detail was amazing. They were even able to work around his face without a muzzle. Next time we will be bringing both our dogs in. We live in NV, but don’t mind the drive. Thanks again for taking such good care of our Brady.

The staff are very patient with my dog's nervous nature. We come here for nail clips and paw pad fur trim. One staff will hold him while the other will clip.There's a window you can watch while they work.

Excellent customer service!!! I have a 14 yo dog who has been groomed his entire life but is deteriorating mentally and physically nowadays. I moved to this groomer because they care about your pet and made me feel confident that he would be treated well. They are simply excellent!*saw previous review about a senior Yorkie mix who had a bad experience. I feel sorry for the injury, sounds terrible for the dog and owner. I think the way they reacted, by taking ownership right away and offering to cover the vet cost speaks positively of thebusiness.

Just picked up my boy from this place. It was our first time here and they were amazing! Unfortunately I did not catch their names, but there were 3 women working and they were all super sweet. They did a fantastic job because unlike our previous groomer, I didn’t hear any whining whatsoever. Their customer service was awesome. I will definitely be back! My boy looks so handsome, thank you Dharma Dog!

Glad I found this place! Every staff member was amazing and they were able to handle my reactive dog very well (: My dog has not been scratching at all after this groom, because she sometimes comes back and is still itchy after her grooming sessions at other places. Coming back for sure!

Very nice first experience at Dharma Dog today. Booked our labradoodle for a full groom after our old groomers closed up shop. Although Dharma Dog was significantly further, we had a great experience.The cut was exactly as requested and our pup seemed happy and well looked after. Most surprising was how quickly he was done. Appreciate Sophia’s positive attitude and her care for our puppy. Highly recommended.

Dharma dog does a great job on both of our pups. We have been taking them there for almost 2 years. They really listen and cut their hair exactly how we'd like. Aside from my barking maniacs, it's usually quiet and has a very zen vibe.

Kayla and Sofie take such good care of my little babies. I'm so grateful to have their help. Leo gets a perfect Yorkie cut and Coco is always so soft.

I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience at Dharma Dogs on Fraser Street, which posed a risk to my dog's well-being. My 14-year-old Yorkie mix has been a regular client at Dharma Dogs for approximately a year, as she enjoys their grooming services. However, during her visit on May 9th, 2023, a distressing incident occurred under the care of a groomer named Kit.Upon receiving a call from Dharma Dogs within a shorter timeframe than expected, I became concerned. They calmly informed me that my dog was ready for pick-up but mentioned a small cut and suggested I seek veterinary attention. While I understand that minor incidents can occur, their proactive approach in contacting the vet and offering to cover the veterinary costs raised my concerns.In haste, I arrived at Dharma Dogs and discovered a noticeable cut on my dog's neck, which left both of us shocked. We promptly sought veterinary evaluation, where the severity of the injury became apparent. The vet determined that the cut had penetrated deeply into my dog's inner neck muscle, requiring immediate surgery under general anesthesia. Given my dog's age, the risks associated with anesthesia were a cause for additional concern.I was taken aback when the owner of Dharma Dogs calmly mentioned that they had anticipated the need for surgery. The thought of my 14-year-old dog facing the potential risks associated with anesthesia left me distraught. Thankfully, the cut narrowly missed major arteries or blood vessels, although its depth was alarming.To my disappointment, the incident shattered my trust in a place I considered a safe and enjoyable environment for my dog. I had believed Dharma Dogs to be a place where my dog would receive gentle care, akin to a spa day. The condition in which she was returned to me was far from what I had expected.As a young student, I had to take a week off work to provide dedicated care for my dog, especially given that I live alone. This incident has had both emotional and financial consequences, which should have never been the case.Although my dog successfully underwent surgery, she now faces a lengthy recovery period. I have been by her side, losing sleep as I comfort her through the pain caused by the incident. While the prognosis suggests a full recovery, her age increases the likelihood of potential post-surgical complications.Dharma Dogs assured me that they have implemented a policy for older dogs following this incident. However, it raises questions as to why such a policy was not in place beforehand. The safety of all animals should always be a priority, and it is unfortunate that it took this incident for them to recognize its importance.It is my responsibility to share this unfortunate incident to raise awareness. I urge others to consider this experience when deciding whether to entrust their dogs to Dharma Dogs. No pet owner should have to endure the sadness, hurt, and worry that my dog and I have experienced.
