Courtyard by Marriott St. John's Newfoundland

Rooms were clean and looked after , service was good! My room had a great view of the harbor, hope I get put there again next year!

It is very ok. Nothing exeptional, nothing bad. The location is truly great both for walking around and driving out of the city.The only problem is parking - it is right across the street, but quite limited and there are not enough spaces. If you arive late, you might need to park on the street which is not free.Room was clean and had everything expected. Disliked that windows don't open, can't get fresh air. Also there is no fan only" option for AC - just Heat or Cool.Staff was very welcoming and helpful. I didn't use the restaurant/bar

The hotel is located really nicely. The room was clean. Period. Nothing else. prices thought like you are staying in something really luxurious. The hotel doesn't have a pool - ok, whatever, but still. For what so much money????I knew there is no pool when I booked it, it was not that important, but would be nice and at least somehow justify this price (maybe at least partly). I have expected something really nice. But no! I paid 329 +tax (!!!!) because it was a business trip and I didn't have much choice. But!!! For almost 400 CAD per night (breakfast 20 CAD included): the toiletries were bare minimum - just one soap, shampoo+ conditioner. That's all. Not even a bottle of water in the room!We stayed for three nights - the room was not cleaned even once! Towels were not changed. Very, very, very frugal -for almost 400 per night???? Really???? For so much money - just a room and location - this is such a crazy overprice and overkill! Global/Canadian management - shame on you. Deeply disappointed. Never again.

Very nice hotel in every way you would expect. At the front of the first stay we had Harborview; when we returned at the end of the week we had street view. Harborview is better if you are willing to pay the extra dollars.

[Updated Sep 4, 2022]went back there again and yes, service has been always prompt and excellent!and Yes, location is quite good, close to famous Signal Hill and Narrow, and only 10 minutes walk to George street, which is for pedestrians only.Excellent service! Our flight arrived way early and I had to wait in the airport for our rental car. I called and asked for an early check in for my family and the staff tried hard to accommodate us.

AMAZING hospitality and customer service! Kim, and the rest of the team, really shine and take this property to the next level. The location is outstanding, and, like many things in Newfoundland, the people are what really makes this place better than the rest.

Just had the pleasure of staying at the St. John’s Courtyard by Marriott. Throughout the duration of our stay we were blown away by the location, views, and most of all the service! As someone who works within the hospitality industry I was pleasantly surprised by the care, kindness, and professionalism demonstrated by the Marriott staff. One staff member in particular named Teri was especially accommodating and welcoming to any and all who walked through the front doors of the hotel. The room facing the harbour was superb but the service topped it all during our stay and I can firmly say that upon subsequent visits we will be choosing Courtyard by Marriott. Thanks to the hardworking and dedicated staff for your services during our stay!

It was a typical generic hotel room and basic features. I didnt tour around the hotel much to see any of its amenities.It was clean, quiet and I was ok with the stay.
