Good African grocery store but I find one lady cashier there incompetent and rude. A few times I've been there where this same woman has attempted to bag meat with other stuff. My most recent trip there she bagged oxtail meat with soap, cookies, cerelac etc. We travelled to Edmonton for the holidays and had hours drive back home with the groceries. By the time I discovered it, the blood of the meat had collected in the whole bag full of groceries. Like I said, she’s attempted to do this before and I politely asked her to bag the meat separately and she was annoyed. This time around I didn’t notice and unfortunately, the meat was left in the bag with all the other stuff unknowingly. We had to discard it in the end. Very upsetting. If there’s one thing that makes African businesses not thrive, it’s lack of good customer service...and it’s usually the (some) of employees and not the owner. I hope this changes. It’s a simple thing: DON’T bag meat with other stuff just to save 5cents worth of plastic bag and ruin my groceries!

Very nice variety of products and the customer service is really good. Shout out to the guy at the back who works the meat saw. He was very kind and helpful. 4 star only because some items did not have price tags. I highly recommend!

Oooh my God.. where to start drove all the way from the Lewis farm area to this location on 118th on Friday 24th 2023. got there saw ppl inside and the sign on the door says OPEN" walk in only to hear a loud yelling "HELLO WE'RE CLOSING "I was caught off guard and I swear it was a animal or something..only than I realize it was the (Jamaican lady )cashier yelling at me for what I didn't understand I was humiliated as all the costumers was just staring at me like I did a crime I told her "you could have done that a better way fa real" ..so I left very embarrassed to be honest .. the next day called the store and was told by some lady who sounded like the same Jamaican cashier lady that the owner just left then she Rudely handed the phone to a guy who said there is no manager or owner at this location I was like oook what's happening..hang up and called the south side location and a guy who said he was the manager. and was giving me a hard time to give me the owners name and number at first ..I called a lady who I taught was the owner but the lady sounded a bit unpleasant and i ask if I can talk with her around 12pm...but my bf said to forget it. Because nothing will be done about it..I used to shop at that kasoa location on 118th once a month in the winter and several times in the summer.. spending upwards to about $200 at times

I am west African and my mom shopped here my whole life. The selection is awesome of both fresh and dried produce and spices. I go here to buy oxtail at a great price, they have a butcher in the back too.

I visited this place and I had a positive experience. This is an ideal place to buy authentic African groceries. They have varieties of meat and fish products. I liked their bakery, it is different and delicious. In this Covid situation, they are doing pretty good job maintaining cleanliness and safety. I would definitely recommend this place.

The standard of cleanliness has declined greatly at Kasoa and I'm sadden by this. Today I went. There were flies in the fridge area where the crayfish was. I also went to the back to get some meat. The butcher picked a rag off the floor to wipe the saw. There were flies all in the meat area. It was gross but sad as well. I want to support my people but this makes it difficultSo unhygienicPlease do better Kasoa. The community needs you but your standards of cleanliness needs to be better.

Good store. I get all African foodstuffs that I need. Although there's no wholesale price, or discount for bulk purchases!
