The Scarborough Hospital Emergency Department

The only reason it gets 2 starts is because the experience was much quicker than most emergency rooms. I took my daughter here and spent almost 20 minutes just for someone to come and take her name so we could see someone. I had to actually go and ask if someone was going to help us before anyone even came, there were about 5 people waiting to be checked in behind us as well. When we did see a doctor she seemed uncaring, quickly looked at my daughter, told me what should be done and then walked away. Didn't even ask if I had any questions before she walked away.

Extremely rude, uncaring, unprofessional nurses at the waiting area in ER. This should have been the last place you would see such kinds people with no humanity at all! Please please go somewhere else and save your life! Please!

Every staff that I interacted with was friendly, especially the paramedical staffs, professional, patient and caring. I think I will never forget this experience.

I think the hospital's management forgot that this is meant to be an EMERGENCY ROOM!! I wonder if the name could be indicative that matters herein should be handled Urgently??

Extremely bad experience ever!! DON’T go to this place! I had a fever yesterday night. Also got a few other problems so I visited ER. I don’t have any other symptoms of COVID. After a long wait, they put me to a COVID waiting room without even giving me a blood test. I am not positive but in the same room with three people who have obvious COVID symptoms. This is ridiculous.

The staff were the highlight of this visit. Friendly, patient and really care. They do their best to move people thru and get them the care they need. There is a Tim Hortons but not much else.

Worst emergency experience ever. Staff was rude, unprofessional, unfriendly and uncaring, especially people from the emergency department, I’d be a real idiot to visit again.

Why are the employees so rude here? Where is the patient care?Waiting more than 6 hours at the emergency and still going. It's not helpful if everyone has to hold their pain in the emergency centre for hours before treatment. Looking for answers regarding the wait and they don't even have the decency to answer and just walk away.

I mean they should understand the meaning of EMERGENCY. I was waiting for 4 hours in emergency waiting room till 4am. I reached there at 12:25am because i got deep cut while chopping veggies and my blood was pumping out constantly and that is why i thought i should go to emergency and get it checked. But ended up waiting for 4 hours. I thought Canada Health Services are best in the world but i really feel they should try going to emergency services. I kept on asking nurses how much time would it take, first nurse said 8 people are there ahead of me. Second nurse said 3 people and third nurse said 5 people. At 3:15am i was tired and sleepy so i went to ask nurse how long would it take my hand is paining badly. She straight away said i cant do anything you have to wait there are 2 people ahead of you, And i was waiting till 4am and then i left. This is insane. This is not how emergency services should work. I am totally disappointed and i will be never coming back to this place for sure after this experience i had.
