My wife and I ate here for the first time this past fall when we were camping in the area. That's when we discovered that Schofields is probably the only place we know that serves a beef tenderloin medallion plate.Today we drove all the way from our home in Kitchener just to enjoy this dish again and it was so worth the drive! Delicious food in a unique historical atmosphere with friendly service and reasonable prices. A combination that's hard to beat.Keep up the good work, folks! We'll be back again!

Appetizers were good! Was disappointed in the mains. Prime rib was not good - very sinuey and pasta was over cooked. Crème Brûlée had good flavour but was not set and no berries as indicated. Service was good!

First time at Schofields was on Valentines night, the service was great, the food was very good, it was a set menu $74 PP with was good value.I would definitely go again...the only criticism I have, is it was freezing every time the door opened as there is no vestibule to block the wind.

Such an amazing restaurant! Warm and friendly staff. Our server regularly checks and refills our coffee. Crab cake benny is absolutely delicious! We also tried corned-beef hash and peameal bacon & eggs. Good portion. Will definitely be back if we’re in Port Dover!

Sad to say this place has gone downhill since it was sold. Tonight we had reservations at 530 and didn't get our meal until 650. My meal was still delayed and had to take it to go as we had plans at 715. Friends steak was very rare when he had requested medium. They comped his meal and gave me a complimentary appetizer. Definitely my worst experience there. Probably will be my last visit.

Schofields was great!!! I came here with some friends for dinner on my birthday after unfortunately having a horrible experience at another restaurant in town. Our server was an older lady i didn’t get her name but she was so sweet and friendly! The food and drinks were great especially the daquiris!!! Thank you so much for the great dinner!

Mixed results with our group. The lamb and salmon was great. Crab cakes bit over cooked and greasy and the crispy cauliflower was battered unexpectedly. Drinks and service was good

I have been going there every Valentines day for the last 4 years. We have never had a bad meal. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and courteous and give schofiends a fun vibe.Considering it was Valentines day, the bill was including wine. Would highly recommend.

The food was meh. A couple of people in our party had been there many times prior to the recent new ownership and have had great meals but nobody really enjoyed the meal this time unfortunately. Server was fine. She was friendly and helpful, but didn’t seem to know of the menu that well and there’s only so much she can do. And there was an amazing harpist during our dinner, which is what saved the evening. She was great and that was very enjoyable! Great call :-). But you need to work on the menu and the flavours to justify the prices.
