Niwasa Food Bank

Absolute joke! At first I was appreciative of the quick response when I was in desperate need for food. They came by within 2 days and dropped off 1 plastic bag with miscellaneous items that I managed to stretch out for 4 days. I was told to call back on the following Wednesday. When I called back, I was told I had to wait a month for another food delivery. I told them the situation but have been completely ignored. So much for helping people in need.

I found that the receptionist at Niwasa Food Bank was very informative and was able to put me in touch with the resources that I needed, they also were able to accommodate my needs and they delivered my food bank items that same week, also they were very polite

Doesn't give even close to enough food for 2 adults for 3 days. I see so many others that are favored and get so much extra compared to others. I've received rotten foods, opened items, unlabeled food that I will not eat if I don't know what it is. Frozen goods were ripped, some food was opened and items removed. I even made a call to them about it and NO ONE has contacted me back. How unprofessional of a place. Overall, I will NEVER be returning to this Food Bank. It's absolutely disgusting the amount of old rotting food given to us less fortunate. I do not appreciate that I do not matter in my community enough to get good food from a food bank.

They are the best all the way around. When me and my wife couldn't get around cause of are disabilities they delivered right to are front door even through the covid outbreak they still did deliveries. They are very nice and kind. They would bring stuff for are kids thanks a lot Niwasa staff
