Connemara B&B

Not great. No AC so windows need to be open in summer. House is on the flight path from the airport so jets going overhead every 20 minutes. Pillows were terribly old and smelly. Poor lighting in the room. Bathroom was ok.

Have to say, that this area, just south of Ottawa, is so close to home that I shall probably never need to avail myself of Peggy hospitality - yet I am comfortable in writing this, as she and I have been communicating for weeks. She is nothing, if not hospitable and forthright of character .Combine that with the incredible location: despite the suburban setting - complete with Hydro towers in the distance, when I visited, there was only one car that went by (around 8:30 to 9:30 PM) and to top it off, the one pic I did not take, was of the back yard. That forest glen alone is good reason to stay at Connemara - the birds are happy and the trees are just plain relaxing. If you want a quiet haven, while having to be in the Ottawa area, rest assured. Back for another visit - the leaves are out.
