Quick 1 night stop and it served its purpose! Bathrooms clean, tent site size was large and a beautiful water for some of the sites. The noise level unfortunately from the highway is why I only rated this campground a 3...really close to highway good for quick on n off but loud for sleeping...just bring your earplugs!

We rented a cabin for 4 days. We were 4 and very comfortable . The cabins sleep 6. In the bedroom there is a queen and 2 bunk beds, and in the other area there is a futon, table and benches, full fridge, microwave and AC!!

The good side : safe place with security doing rounds all night long, near highway, showers and washroom available, store on site with ice, wood for fire, spray for mosquitos, decent staff. The bad side and the reason for my two stars : noisy- very crowded, not enough space between two lots so forget intimacy. The place is noisy during the night as well : you can clearly hear the highway sound and the train sound. I have heard also my neighbor snoring...so you can understand the small distance between our tents. In terms of service...you need to bring your own garbage bag to the bin in the front. The staff picks up only the garbage from washrooms but not the one in front of your lot as per their protocols. The washroom and the showers are not clean. The staff is trying, they are working on it...but the camp it,s overbooked and you have all the time a lot of people using facilities. Maybe they need to build more showers or book less people so they can manage. The lake is nice but useless..since you can not swim due to a contamination with algae. The playing ground for kids is ok but again not enough for all the guests. The beach is used together with the people who are coming only for the day without camping....so again overcrowded. It would be nice to have a special beach for the camping section. The last thing: hard access to use electricity: charge your phone and using a tea kettle for example. There are people in waiting all the time to charge a phone ....the place it,s in the middle of the kids camp and you have only 4 slots. Imagine waiting to boil water with a kettle in the common washroom when other clients are doing no 2. No repeat for me since they overbook.

Left several messages about needing a spot to get back home for the night. No one called back if you call all the other numbers they give you same thing and tried to book online waste of data. I am sure you have a nice park but when you have no customer service you have nothing. Big miss when people won't answer a call. Called first thing in the morning don't waste your time no one answers any of the numbers provided.

Well the facilities were very good and the staff very friendly. The trains on the other hand. Trains go through every couple of hours during the late evening early morning blowing their horns waking you up. If it were not for that it would have been ok but I cant give it a higher rating because of it sorry. I guess if you were in an enclosed camper you may not hear them but in a tent, oh hell no, not going back.

Place was beautiful, right on the lake!! The site was large and grassy and had a nice picnic table. Beautiful park-like setting. The bathrooms were clean. But the showers were disgusting!!? End of season maybe??

I been going to this park/beach since I was 5, improvement was made over the years but upkeeping and maintaining these improvements was not. Bathrooms are so dirty and old, they need to renovate it, the beach is dirty, tables are rotten and broken. We love going here but it definitely needs some work to improve some of the downfalls.

Cabins are close together but my neighbours were nice and quiet. Right at the waters edge. I had a great time.

Lets start out with some of the good points.-Depending on the lot you chose they can be very spacious. I had plenty of room for my 3 tents and not having to worry about a fire burning them.-The kids working there were more then polite. Zero issues with staff ever there.-We were there on a weekend and the campground was over half empty(the weather was really nice so I can't imagine that many no shows).-While I can't speak for all the campers that camp here. I am always amazed by the people I meet here and how friendly they are. Offering to help when there seems to be an issue. You really feel like you can leave your door unlocked here and sit by anyone's fire and become instant friends. Here are some bad points.-I've been camping here for over 40 years. While the lots haven't really changed. The way the campground works has. You don't feel welcome when using the other facilities near the entrance of the campground as they rent these out to others to use.-They have signs everywhere saying not to go in the water.-If you camp for over a week you will probably be stuck playing the shuffle game with your trailer. I was only there a weekend and everyone around me was moving because of an error in the system.-If you bring your boat it may cost you a lot to use it. As medium sized and up will not go in. The water level is very shallow. You will have to go to nearby marinas to get your boat in the water. And there are not many spots to leave it overnight. Very first come first serve. You can go for a ride during the day and come back to a full dock.-Showers are cold. And the shower heads look like original 1980 heads.-The cost was a little high for a normal income family to consider this as a vacation option. They are not the most expensive. But for a lot with no services they are way higher then the average cost.-Noises: Two things bugged me in this category. First of all there is a local bar at the neighbouring campground. I was around 150 meters away and the noise was definitely more then noticeable. Secondly is the train. You don't miss a single train when you are there. No matter what time of day/night it is. And they pass often. If you want a quiet spot to camp this place is not your best bet.
