Amazing group of people and the Professors are patient and personable teachers. I've been doing BJJ here for a year now and it's been amazing!

I took a self-defence class with Daniel and a group of amazing women. The class was empowering and incredibly useful. The gym is really clean and well lit, and Daniel's style of instruction is both approachable and easy to understand! I highly recommend this great gym!

My 2 kids and me have been attending classes 4 days a week for about 8 months now love it. This gym has a safe and friendly culture. 5 stars!

I've been to other Gracie Barras and dojos, but have decided to stick with this location because Daniel and Eddie are amazing instructors! They are both endlessly supportive and helpful to students of all levels. I have no doubt in my mind that I'm learning from the best. The classes are centered around the students, so I find that I can attend at least four times a week even with a busy schedule. BJJ is becoming the highlight of my day thanks to the team!

Super great place to train. Very team oriented and social. Lots of comraderie and a great group of people.Owners are very accessible and roll with us lower belts all the time which is a big privilege.Great place to learn if you’re new and a great place for rolling if you’re a higher belt too — HUGE mat space with no pillars or anything in the way.Super active kids classes and some great wrestling and striking classes too!And good open mat time... of course ;)Couldn’t be happier!!

I'm not old but I'm not young either! I've always wanted to give BJJ a go but with some nagging injuries I've had my reservations. I reached out to Coach Daniel, dropped in for a class and haven't looked back! The facility is great but it's the friendly culture of healthy competition and the dedication of both Coach Daniel and Professor Eddie to their students development that makes you feel like you've found the right home.

I've never done jiu-jitsu before and coming into it was kind of intimidating. Daniel and Eddy were very welcoming, it didnt take long for me to feel comfortable here. Professor Eddy has a black belt, he really takes his time explaining and going over moves with you, encourages you when you get discouraged which is amazing for us beginners. I would highly recommend this gym if you're looking for one!

Daniel and Professor Eddie are incredible instructors who show genuine concern for their students' growth on and off the mats. They're always cultivating a supportive yet competitive environment. Furthermore, the facility is spacious and clean.Definitely recommend anyone interested in jiu jitsu or on the fence about it to check out Gracie Barra Central Richmond for their trial classes. It's free so there's nothing to lose!

I have been a member of GB Richmond since the beginning of the year now and love it! I find that everyone has been incredibly warm and welcoming. Right from when I started (as a complete rookie) each person I interacted with has been super encouraging and supportive. The instructors are also very patient and knowledgable, with a high level of professionalism.

Despite multiple attempts to inform the owner I am injured, he decided to ignore my emails and charge me $189.I do not recommend this place as they are after your money, not teaching. Shame.Edit reply:For everyone to understand, I signed up for a “free” month trial. Which I was billed $300 for a uniform, attended TWO classes, and was subsequently billed $189. So I paid $500 for two classes of a “free trial”Daniel is so very unprofessional. He was constantly speaking about drinking and drugs, is this the teaching of JiuJitsu? Is stealing money from people tricking them with a free trial the teaching of BJJ? I highly doubt it!I beg whoever is reading this to pick a different dojo, this is a big money grab. RUN AWAY.
