Very nice astronomy store with super helpful shopkeepers. It has something for everyone whether you're a beginner or expert. Will definitely come back.

Highly recommended, good explanations and advices. the sellers know a lot about this subject and explain every detail. The after sale service is still very good, I had a problem with the tripod of my telescope and they changed it without any problem, 100% recommended

The moment I walked into the La Maison d l'Astronomie I was so well received and totally surprised by the knowledge and alternative of devices in house. I did my web research and actually went to a couple stores outside of Montreal, including Toronto. Their price are right. What really did it was their dedication specially Mr. Jean Christophe who understood my needs and fulfill every aspect and assist me with every step to make a right decision to what I needed towards my exhibition. My situation was unusual. I am an artist having an exhibition that has just opened at Observatoire 360º Place Ville Marie Montreal. I bought 4 distinct Telescopes with different lenses, filters etc... Without their guidance throughout every step my creative work would have been extremely difficult. Mr. Jean Christophe made it easy, sound proof advise, became involved and made the process a total pleasure! Thank you JC and La Maison de L'Astronomie. Oh yes the exhibition is awesome!

Beautiful, well supplied store. They have all levels of telescopes and accessories. Store owners and employees were very nice and knowledgeable. Definitely recommended.

I had the chance to buy my first ever astronomy equipment from this store and it was an amazing experience. The staff, especially Henry, was extremely friendly knowledgable. I was able to try multiple equipments and learn a lot from him in the process. 11/10. Looking forward to visit the store again for my upgrade.

I purposely made the trip to this store while traveling to Montreal from the U.S. on vacation. It was worth the 15-minute Metro ride to Jarry station from downtown. There aren't too many shops like this left in the U.S. or Canada, so just to see so much equipment in one place and not an online catalog was refreshing. They had a decent selection of quality modern scopes (including a C14 in the storefront window!), some Celestron C6, C8, and C11 optical tube assemblies on various mounts, some Orion-badged equipment (Ritchey Chretien astrograph I believe). They also had some used equipment that appeared to be on consignment at decent prices. They also had quite a range of eyepieces in stock (the largest collection of eyepieces I have seen in one place at one time). Equipment prices were in line with what I would expect to pay from most drop ship places in the U.S., at least considering the U.S. and Canadian dollar exchange rate at the time (1 Canadian to .75 U.S.) if one included tax. Some items were a little higher, some items were a little lower.The staff was very friendly and low pressure. They did not try to upsell me on my eyepiece purchase (a lowly but solid Celestron LX 5mm) and generally let me have the run of the place lost in telescope fantasy land. Staff members were also knowledgeable and seemed to be amateur astronomers themselves, which is always a big plus. If you are planning to buy a telescope and would like to do so from a store with knowledgeable staff definitely stop by this shop for a look-see.

Henri was very friendly, informative and was a great help when ordering my Skywatcher Heritage 130. It arrived 2 days earlier than the estimated time and it works like a dream. I can't wait for the rarest of things, a clear night on the west coast. Merci Henri!

This is a 5-star shop for a reason! I live in Alberta and needed a specialty product for astrophotography. They had exactly what I was looking for, so I placed an order over the phone and they shipped the item that day! I received my purchase in Alberta just a few days later.
