Weldrick Animal Hospital has been our go-to for the needs of our family’s cats and kittens since we have lived in this area, for over 25 years because of their quality of care and professionalism always. Good friends of ours at this point. Any of your pet’s needs they will look after.

This clinic was recommended to my partner and I by a lady that goes to the same dog park that we used to go to.We were looking into spaying our 18 month old American foxhound and the prices downtown Toronto were just absurd. (Ranging from $1200 to $1400).Since we were recommended by someone we know and whose dog was very healthy and well taken care of, we decided to go ahead with the clinic since the price was a lot more affordable (around half of the estimated prices downtown.)Kristen (the person who referred us) reassured that the vet at the clinic is excellent and charges a fair price because he believes in providing affordable care for pets since many owners give up on properly caring for their pets because many clinics are extremely overpriced. We couldn't have been happier with the outcome. When they were shaving her for the surgery, they noticed an hernia on her stomach area and called us right away asking if we wanted it to be corrected as well. To which we obviously said yes to!We took our puppy in at 9 AM and by 1 PM we were driving back home. (They asked us to pick her up early as she is very anxious and was very distressed waiting for us.)They gave us a few papers with all the information we needed to care for her, including what to expect and what should be watched for. As well as enough pain medication for 5 days. After a few days I sent a picture of the incision to make sure it was healing properly and the vet attended to my email super quickly and recommended polysporin, just in case. She is now 2 weeks after the surgery and her incision is almost completely gone! I believe that in a couple of weeks, when the stitches finish being absorbed, she will barely have a scar. Conclusion:Had my dog spayed, hernia fixed, all vaccines (mandatory and optional) and 3 months worth of dewormer/flea/tick treatment for a little over $1100!Definitely recommend the clinic and will be going there for all our vet appts from now on.

We have been taking our cat here for a while. The doctor is very knowledgeable and straight to the point. He tests for anything that’s necessary and not more or less. Prices are fair

I am late to review, but my 13 year old Siamese had some teeth extractions and a full clean done by Dr. Weldrick and he, along with the rest of the staff, did a great job with her! Explained everything in detail, communicated well during and after the procedure, and gave helpful post-procedure guidance. My cat healed perfectly and had not had any issues since. Price was fair and much better when compared to other vets. Thank you!

Brought my 6 y/o Shih Tzu for dental cleaning last year in March. I was able to get her an appointment within a months time. The procedure went fine however, my dog did not recover as expected. Her energy was low and wasn't back to her usual self after a few weeks. It was very difficult to reach anyone as I wanted to bring her back for a check up (this is after the 10-14 day check up post cleaning and extractions). No one got back to my messages. So I ended up bringing my dog to a different animal hospital and I'm so happy I did.My main issue with Weldrick is that they are too busy with many patients but not enough staff. I'm sure the vet and the tech truly care for their patients, however, due to having too many patients, they're not able to provide the best care. For instance, they do pre-procedure bloodwork and my dog's kidney values were elevated. The Dr. said it could be due to a tooth infection. Which is a possibility. But he did not do his due diligence and bother to re-check her bloodwork post extraction to check if the cause of the elevated kidney values was actually the tooth infection. It was not caused by a tooth infection. This is why my dog wasn't recovering as expected. She had an actute kidney infection and Weldrick didn't bother to follow up. I only found this out after bringing my dog to a different clinic and the experience was vastly different. There were consistent follow ups, the vet explained the procedure in detail and the vets/admins were always responsive whenever I had concerns or questions. My dog had another dental cleaning at the new clinic and she recovered from the procedure so much quicker compared to when she had her teeth done at Weldrick. Even when we picked her up, the techs cleaned her up so she wasn't a bloody mess like the first time at Weldrick. The pricing was slightly more expensive there but not a huge difference so the savings was not worth it for me to bring my dog to Weldrick for her initial dental cleaning and extractions.

My friend recommended me to Dr. Darily's clinic for a dental scaling. Our original vet quoted $700 for scaling and anesthesia only (not including extraction.), so we were looking for alternatives. We've always known our rescue pup's oral hygiene was poor, so we were expecting the bill to be around $1,000 (17lb small bichon frise). We were really pleased by how professional the doctor and team were, and were very glad that the vet tech gave us a call first to ensure we were in agreement with the extractions based on the situation of our pup (stage 3 periodontitis). I really appreciated that personal touch, because the team was patient with answering all my questions; putting my mind at ease. In the end, the bill came up to be a little bit over $800 along with medication and a post surgery follow-up which was better than I had expected. Our pup recovered in no time and healed quite well with no complications. All that to say, I will most certainly be recommending this clinic to all my friends even if it was a bit of a drive from where I lived.

I drove in from Burlington to bring my 4 year old mini Australian in for a dental cleaning. The whole team was incredible to work with. The vet went over all the details so I was well informed and the rest of the team was very responsive via email and over the phone and made booking and keeping me updated a breeze. They took good care of my sweet pup , pricing was amazing and check out those sparkly white teeth! Will certainly be coming back here for any further dental work that she may need.

This is the second time in the last 3 years I have taken my dog to Weldrick for dental cleaning and I highly recommend them! They put your dog to sleep to do the cleaning which allows them to get all of the teeth cleaned as my pooch would not sit for the cleaning awake. They are very friendly and informative and do not try to gouge you with extras. My dog did need a tooth extraction in the back as it was loose and they called me to tell me and ask permission’s to proceed.I also had them give her vaccinations and also trim her nails which they did an amazing job she is like a little ninja now I wouldn’t hear her if she didn’t have her collar lol.Rest assured your dog/cat will be in good caring hands at Weldrick.

Took my dog here for dental cleaning and extractions. Eugene at the front desk was very professional and friendly. He gave me great service and was very informative.Dr. Dairy was very friendly as well. He explained everything in great detail. After assessing my dogs teeth they called me to inform me about the number of needed extractions. They were very open about all the cost involved if extractions were needed right from the very start of the process. I appreciate their transparency and fair pricing.Overall very satisfied with the experience so far.Now will just have to wait for my dog to make a full recovery but so far he seems to be doing well!
