Not acceptable service. You wait for ever, then get to speak to a not properly trained clerk. Check the math, because one transaction will get compensated with another, and it gets very complicated to understand all the fees charged for this bad service. Renew a driving license: you pay 80$ to gvt and 13$ to the registry + a fee for using a credit card. Cancelling a car registration fee 9$. Do not ask for a clear receipt, because it will take another half an hour. The government needs to better better represented!By the way, the very positive reviews underneath seems to be written by the staff themselves :-) .

Employees are friendly enough, but the wait is horrible. They used to have a really nice system a while back where you could enter your number and wait in your car to be seen. They have removed this system and now the lines are super long, service is slow, and although they have a row of seats to sit on they are barely used and just take up space because one need to literally stand for hours to keep their place in line. A simple ticketing machine that issues numbers when you arrive would solve this problem so that customers could at least sit while they wait for their turn.

To be fair, not their fault that the queues are sometimes long and the systems are occasionally down province wideOverall, I do think they try. Many of the employees seem personable and they mostly work with a smile (not common with other registeries) despite the challenges. They deserve a 4 just for thatLikely need to find right balance of available resources to customers. Maybe have some staff I notice stay inside" come out to help during high customer traffic periods before going back "inside" once things ease upOne of the better registeries for sure just for the staffs"

I need to upgrade my license for a job application within my company but they are not requiring me to as they do not care whether or not I get a promotion. They sent me on my way and told me there was no way I could upgrade before June 25. So essentially I’m being told I’m not allowed to get promoted this year as that happens in May. Could you not keep the old option of taking a road test available while you do this new system of getting a new license for people who are not technically “required” to get a upgrade but it would really help their financial security.

Do not go to this location, unless you want to wait for an hour.Been here 6 times and always a line out the door so be prepared to wait 45min easily. This registry is chronically understaffed even when though they've been this busy since last year. Are they just cheap or is this poor management...I don't know. But I don't plan to come here anymore, won't recommend it to anyone else either.

I was genuinely scared to go here due to the reviews, including some very recent ones. But the experience was fast and efficient and pleasant. All the employees looked and sounded friendly and the gentleman who helped me was very nice and prompt.A few hot tips, people:- Try to go during a slow period (middle of the day, first thing in the morning).- Make sure you know EXACTLY what you need, have it ready, don’t be stupid.

Witnessed around 3 people, 4 myself included get turned away because of clauses that are not stated ANYWHERE. Making people wait an hour and a half to have to come back another day is straight unnecessary. Side note: one lady was extremely nice and tentative to her customers and she was pretty much fighting with them to help them meanwhile the man who looked at me and said “I can’t help you” really felt great knowing I ALMOST got the nicer clerk after the hour long wait. EDIT: went back after a few days, and will say that when they are not busy the registry functions pretty smoothly, but I think the increase in people needing help around rush hours causes the workers too much stress and that’s starts to make certain things become mishandled.

I applied for my ID to be renewed a week ago, they did not do there job properly and now have called me a week later asking for more info about my application because they were lost and hadn't applied yet. So what was supposed to be in the mail by next week will now be 2 weeks from now.Absolutely unprofessional unintelligent company. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE where they have common sense and basic human intelligence.Absolutely unacceptable customer service.Also when I was waiting in line they let multiple families budge in line.Hire someone competent to run this absolute mess of a company.

I just returned from Shawnessy Registry where I had to renew my drivers license. I was a bit apprehensive about going there because of all the reviews I just read, but decided to go because I have typically always had good experiences there.I walked in, there was 5 people in line, 3 people behind the counter and everyone I was hearing while in line was courteous and professional. When it was my turn (about 10 minutes in line), the gentleman that served me was really good. We had a couple of good laughs and I was finished my paperwork, payment and picture in 10 minutes. In and out within 20 minutes. No issues and once again, I'd go back again in the future because of the good service I just received.

Staff were pleasant. There was quite a line - out the door - but all the stations were staffed and they were moving people through pretty efficiently. It's a small space so he prepared to get cozy with your line neighbor when it's busy... No more 6 feet apart!
