I called up North Bay Moving and spoke with Christine who was very friendly and helpful at arranging my move to fit into my schedule. Not only was the price reasonable but team of Brandon, Greg and Corbin that was sent out to help move me and were the best team I have ever dealt with for a move. My furniture was wrapped up carefully and my all my items were moved without anything being damaged. They were all very friendly and professional which help to make my move stress free. I highly recommend this company to anyone that is looking for quality, friendly service.

Book elsewhere people. There’s a reason they are available when the other movers are not. They’ll double book you, make excuses and leave you waiting 6 hours to begin your move!! Yes, they were 6 hours late starting. First let’s be clear the employees who do the actual moving are not the reason for the poor rating although there was some minor damage to some furniture, walls & floors they were kind and personable & polite and after dealing with the woman who runs the place all day I couldn’t be bothered trying to recover the damages - the experience was that bad I would rather absorb the repair costs than have to deal with the management another minute. Our move was scheduled for 9:30-10am. We waited around all day being told another hour and they’ll be on their way. Six hours later they arrive to load up. I was told the delay was due to an elliptical exercise machine they were moving prior, she said “a small move” that was giving them difficulty and then due to truck issues and blah blah blah so imagine my displeasure when one of the movers unloading at dinner time said they moved a three bedroom home just prior to ours. The female owner or manager or whatever cares about being g paid and not about providing a professional moving experience. Choose AMJ or your next door neighbour, you’re likely to have a much better experience than we did. I’ve not reviewed much online but I felt compelled to warn others that moving is stressful and the management at North Bay Moving made that stress so much worse than it had to be. Zero stars. Give your business to someone who appreciates it and respects and values your time.

Terrible experience. Booked for 9:00am. Called at 9:30am since the movers hadn't arrived yet. Christina texted back that she would call me back, and she called back at 1:30pm only. Declined their service at that point. After promising to get my deposit back on 3 separate occasions but not following through, I finally got it back 2 weeks later, after telling her I would report her to the Ontario consumer protection agency.

They were very accommodating. Great workers! What I like about this company is, it's a small business owned by a single mom of six children .She provides discounts aswell which is great! They shrink wrap the furniture that need be and are considerably cheaper than other companies very professional. I give them a 5 star . Thanks

Christina (the owner) She finds ways to make it so you have to pay more, she’ll make up reasons why the cost all of a sudden goes up once your stuff is in the truck. The one time she had a customer that was on disability and she knew he didn’t have the biggest income but he had a really large smart tv and she wanted it, she made up a laundry story to make it so he had to either pay an extra 1,000 or she would keep his possessions. One of the workers at the time witch I think it was maybe her boyfriend they seemed really close he called her about the guys tv and next thing you knew once we where ready to go to the new home she made us go back to her place and she then nailed him with the extra cost. It’s a shady moving “company”. Also it seemed like she would hire just about anybody, and they’re really rough with other peoples furniture. Worked for her for only two days and I found her very unethical.

In August 2021, I hired North Bay Moving Services to move to my home. In the process, my walls were scratched/chipped and my ping pong table was damaged beyond repair. I made sure to contact, the owner, Christina, right away to come see for herself to make sure there was no foul play. She came to my place that very evening to verify the damages and assured me that one way or another, I would be compensated.Over the course of the next 5 months and many attempts to contact Christina, the damages were not rectified. She refused to pay a monetary settlement, which she herself said was a reasonable/modest amount and assured me that she would have people patch up my walls and either repair or replace my ping pong table.I tried many times to contact Christina. Most of the time, my calls were ignored. Some of the time, an appointment would be made for someone to come by and patch up my walls. However, for the majority of those appointments, nobody would show at the agreed upon time and notice was not given.During these past 6 months, I have been patient. I have been polite. I have still not been compensated for my ping pong table and walls.I understand that mistakes happen, but I was hoping for more ownership of responsibility and professionalism. I would severely caution against hiring North Bay Moving Services.

From start to finish this company was an absolute dream to hire. Response times were excellent, cost was unbeatable and customer service was 10/10. Christina made this whole process for someone who’s never used a moving company before easy as can be, the movers were fast, nothing is damaged, and they are all very polite and easy going. Would recommend to all my friends and family. Thanks a bunch!!

They moved a big baby grand piano up a ridiculously challenging set of stairs. Didn't damage anything. They were kind and courteous. Couldn't even believe they did it. I would have thought it impossible. Would use again!!

First of all, many of the reviews here are from people working in their company. I read a review saying this and I fact checked - its true. Average move, and overpriced. I asked for one hour of labour for a spiral staircase job with two men, they charged 235$ after a student discount. They claimed that they normally charge 135$ per hour including driving time (1 hour in this case) - that's still a very high quote for simple labour. Didn't complain as I needed it done right away. Doesn't seem like a professional moving company. I only asked their service because they were the only company available. They were 20 minutes late and didn't call to let me know, and didn't bring anything except for shrink wrap. They asked me for sheets or towels to help the move and didn't even bring water with them. Not prepared at all. They finished the move in 40 minutes and when I asked for an extra thing to move, they said they'll charge extra. Couple of small scuffs on the walls and they didn't seem to be super careful. I realize as I type this, they didn't even finish moving the couch cushions to where they were supposed to. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this is what the company is about in my experience.

Instead of showing up on time, this company was 90 minutes late, had to move their truck to the other side of the building, and by the time their rapid tests were done it was 10:50 and Marina Point doesnt allow the elevators being used by movers between 11-1. Which meant we'd wasted an entire morning, and had to return at one to get the load of furniture moved. Then they had the audacity to make us pay from 10am on! What was to be $135/ hour, which we anticipated would take about 90 minutes took much longer. Not impressed.
