We are regulars at the Gator and frankly, it is hit and miss. Often great service and food and sometimes awful. Went with a group of seven September 7 for wing night. My wife ordered a pound of hot wings and I ordered a third of a rack of ribs for a change as the previous Saturday a friend had awesome ribs.My wife was served Salt and Pepper wings??. Sent back and returned as Salt and Pepper wings tossed in a little bit of hot sauce. NOT cool. Ribs were awful. Dried out and obviously left over and reheated. I am a loyal customer and expect better. Really hope that they get their act together constantly. After posting this, I was contacted by the manager Billy and was asked to come back and give them another try.The ribs AND wings were excellent and renewed my faith! The Gator certainly does value their loyal customers. Give them a try.

Bar itself is decent. Good live music and decent atmosphere. Unfortunately the service from the bartender Riley was less than adequate. Slow and extremely rude

This was a terrible experience. This place is gross! We were seated around a bunch of local drinkers. The placed stunk like cigarettes and disappointment. The food was a rip off and looked like it had been sitting back there for hours. Our $24 meal came with 2 sides which were in small containers the size of a shot glass. We will never return!!

This place tries hard to be a dive bar, but the food and service quality and cleanliness of the place are a little too high for that!The staff are friendly and accommodating, happy to do their best to ensure you have a great meal. The prices are decent, and the food quality is just excellent. I strongly suggest trying their smoked meats. Best I’ve had in Port Dover.I frequent this place after Monday, sailboat races, and I highly recommend.

Party of 10 the other night here and everyone loved the brisket burgers. Thought the wings were solid, the gator taters looked different then what you get at deli but were still tasty just less mushed up.

The food is always delicious, and the owners are wonderful. If you want some fun on a Friday night, this is the place! You will find local bands, mouth-watering food, and all the drinks you could ever want right here on Main Street in Port Dover.

The staff were friendly, I didn't eat there but the food smelled really really good. I wish they had more of a cooler selection, but the mixed drinks were alright. The band that was playing when I was there are amazing and had me on the dance floor all night long, they're called Empty Hours I mostly only go to Gator when they are playing but it's always a good time when I go :)
