Red Deer Food Bank Society

Great people doing great things here they need more parking but what can you expect from a free food place excellent staff overall 10 thanks red deer food bank workers .

It has been very hard since my husband passed away we got evicted just 2 weeks after he passed i never found out why we were. Homeless for the next 3 months and finally found an appartment in Red Deer far from our home in Olds but its home now thank you to my landlord for giving us a chance. The food bank has been our only food we can access right now and they have been so helpful the little bags of cookies and granola bars and fruit role ups or any kind of sweet foods have been what my little girl looks forward to every month it puts a smile on her face everytime. Thank you for everyone that works there you really do make a difference in ppls lives.

I just drove people there as they don't have a car it is a busy place people have a hard time paying there bills these days

I don't like to say a thing negative about places like this, I know there doing there best but, my friend who has to use the food bank because disability does not get payed enough to feed her and her son she has to use the food bank, at the food bank you have to show them your statement of what the government pays you and some other red tape and she leaves with not enough for a month.It's humiliating and they make her feel bad for needing help to feed her and her son and it shouldn't be this way.In British Columbia they don't ask all those intruding questions so people don't feel bad or humiliating for needing help to feed there family, that's why I didn't give 5 stars.

The staff are amazing... kind, caring and concerned to customers, helping to the best of their ability. Very grateful for the kind helpfulness.

My daughter volunteered and she loved it so much she didn't want to go home. It is such a great organization!!

The great people who work and volunteer at the Food Bank are amazing and go out if there way to make your experience there go as easy as possible

We had a group of homeschoolers volunteer one afternoon and the staff that are at the Food Bank are amazing! They truly love what they do, they are organized and efficient as well as friendly and hardworking. Red Deer is lucky to have such a well run organization.
