The customer service at Midas in Victoria is fantastic. Brought my vehicle in and Jay quoted a bit high to make sure the cost would be under. When I was driving away, Jason stopped me as my tail light was out. He fixed it on the spot (even though they were technically closed) and even adjusted my engine belt as it was squealing. The vibe was of generous customer service and not at all like I was keeping him or anyone else late. As I had already paid, it was very cool to add this service and it certainly left a good impression for my second visit here since moving to Victoria. I highly recommend this location and these managers.

Jason was super helpful with diagnosing the clunk in my front suspension. I explained the work I’d have done previously and they made sure I got the service I needed while letting me know what was wrong, and what the cost would be.Great shop, I am going to use them in the future.

We had an amazing experience at Midas in Victoria! We were road tripping from MB to BC and by the time we arrived we heard a horrible sound coming from the vehicle and weren’t sure if we could get it home, much less enjoy our visit. The guys at Midas squeezed us in and saved the day..and our trip! They got us in right away and fixed the issue without pushing any unnecessary repairs or sales. Most of all they provided peace of mind knowing we could get home safely. Can’t say enough good things! Special thanks to the guy who helped us out I believe his name was Tyler.

I usually bring my car in here for oil changes, the staff there are always super friendly and willing to help but, I am writing this review today because of the wonderful experience I had with Jay at Midas (Government) yesterday. I was driving my vehicle and it started making an awful sound all of the sudden around my front right tire area. I panicked because well, vehicle situations can be pretty costly and I'm financially down on my luck.I decided to call in since I was panicking and not sure if I could wait to pay day to fix my car (I commute from Happy Valley to Victoria daily). A guy name Jay picked up and immediately calmed me down, he said to just bring my car in, that it was okay, they can squeeze me in right now to take a quick look to ensure my vehicle is safe for travel. This really wowed me, the fact he realized my struggle and told me to just bring it in and well go from there.I brought my car in and within 20 mins they had it up on the hoist. Turns out a rock had gotten into my tire and was rubbing in between two parts of metal (hence the horrible sound). They got the rock out of there and sent me on my way! This company REALLY cares about its clients and doesn't mind going the extra mile for someone who really just was down on their luck needing a ray of light in a dark time!Jay was that person for me, great employee, so friendly and helpful! I will be forever bringing my car here even though I don't live in town simply due to the GREAT service! Jay and his coworkers deserve a huge pat on the back, it seems like a super busy place but they still treat every customer like a person and not a number.

These guys were VERY helpful for me! I had a muffler I needed to fit on an old car, I called them up on a Saturday afternoon and asked if they could weld on a flange for me? They said sure, I popped down there with it and they did it in no time, no hassle. Very friendly people and easy to deal with! Cheers guys!

I’m sure if you’ve ever been to this shop you’ve taken notice of its manager, Jay. I came in for some transmission work and walked into a full reception area, phones ringing off the hook, and was met with the friendliest, most professional, calm, intelligent, and funny person that I’ve likely ever encountered. My interactions with this person were stellar. He went above and beyond to help me out with my car issues and was a really nice person on top of that while dealing with stress with such finesse. Saying I’m impressed is an understatement. If I had a business that could employ this guy I would try my best to steal him. Also shout out to Tyler. And a heartfelt thank you to Jay.

I've been using this Midas for 10 years now and always have great service. They are honest and stand by their work. They've worked on 4 of my vehicles and have done everything from simple oil changes to engine repairs and almost everything in between. I have been in complete panic over repairs (seems like my car has issues at the worst possible time - like a day before my baby is due to be born) and Jay and his team somehow manage to calm me down and get the work done as timely as possible. They are real people who care about their customers and do real quality work at the same time. Definitely recommend!

I have been with Midas for 6 years (3 Years in Vic, 3 in Van) and the Govt St location has twice (5 years apart in 2018 and 2023) quoted my tire treads as requiring immediate" replacement

Today I ran over a screw in the middle of my work day. I popped into Midas on my lunch break with pure desperation in my eyes. Some might say I WAS SCREWED! I needed it fixed so I could finish the day.Tyler and Mark took pity on me and immediately jumped into action to get me back on the road ASAP. This situation could have derailed my entire day instead I was back on the road in 20min! 10/10 customer service.
