Scheduling an appointment has been a nightmare and the staff have not been helpful, they sent email confirmations and reminders for an appointment while literally closed for construction, causing patients to show up while the place was completely closed.Just today(Monday) they had cancelled my partners 8am appointment and sent no written note of this despite having provided an earlier email appointment confirmation. They tried to call one time prior to the appointment, but given that we were unable to come to the phone, why not send a text or email to ensure your patients get the message?When he showed up today they did not even have a record of his appointment and he had to show them the booking and confirmation himself. Like I understand that appointments need to be cancelled sometimes, but how is there not even a record of this? You guys sent the emails to us?? On top of this the reception staff were unhelpful and unsympathetic.A second note is that they sent me a bill for dental work I had done over THREE YEARS AGO. This was charged to me because apparently my insurance had not gone through, however now, three years later, I no longer have insurance so I had to pay out of pocket. If they told me about this bill any time in the past three years when I was still insured, I could have resubmitted the claim, but they literally sent me the $75 bill from 2019 the first time last month. I didn't want to fight this so we just payed it.However, I must say doctor Ilana was great last time I was there, but we won't be going back again. I hope they improve their administrative system soon.

First of all, I love Metropolitan Dental. I was a customer for a decade with the dental office. I would highly recommend Dr. Kraus. She is professional and knowledge. She always makes sure the service she provide is high quality. Also, the dental hygienists in the office are also very skillful. Your mouth will feel refresh about the visit.It is unfortunate that I have to give 2 stars for the dental office (not the doctors or the hygienists) because of the the following reasons:1. The reception was unable to help you to submit the insurance claim. If you have a primary and secondary insurance, you will most likely need to file the insurance yourself manually.2. Even they succeed to help you to submit the insurance, it will take few months for the claim to be processed. They will tell you that this is because of the insurance company but this is not true. Other dental offices can process the claim on the same day.3. For some strange reasons, the reception will send you a bill that was few years ago and tell you that you haven't pay all the amount due. Obviously, no one would remember that after few years. This would be out of your pocket because insurance company will not accept claims that happen years ago.4. Communications with the reception have been VERY difficult. They don't answer the questions directly and they have poor listening skills.My experience is that the current receptions are very error-prone in terms of submitting insurance, processing payment and getting you book for dental appointments.It is a shame that the dental office has changed so much after the pandemic. I remember the fantastic reception that I used before. They are caring and always helpful in making sure the claims to the insurance are done properly and professionally.I wish I can talk to the doctors about this personally. Currently, this is a mess and it is not representing them in the best way possible.

Seriously, 10 stars for the hygienists who did work on me. They are all highly skilled and professional.My low rating is the way I was treated after requesting my money back for retainers/dentures that NEVER fit when I went in for my fittings and the way the receptionist spoke to me.The money I had put down for a deposit was being used without my knowledge for fees my insurance didn't cover". I got upset when no one informed me about this

Dr Platis is an awesome dentist ! He is very knowledgeable and kind. All his staff are also kind and super helpful, including his wonderful receptionists (for example, Jessica and Savitha :) ). They are always ready to address my needs and are very flexible.

Caleigh, the hygenist, was professional and personable. My teeth felt great after the visit. Dr. Plaitis explained my x-rays and what might be required so well - he is really great at that! Then Dr. Plaitis checked my teeth, and found no action required for now. I like his conservative approach. Other dentists seemed like they want to fix all potential problems with crowns even when there is no presenting problem today.

It took me years to find a good dentist I trusted. Dr. Kraus and her team won me over by sharing findings relevant to me from recent dentistry studies while working on my teeth. Funny thing is, I started to hear other dentists talking about the same findings 5 years later. I've seen the results first hand, as my teeth are in the best state they've been in in years. I've been highly recommending Dr. Kraus and her team to my friends and family, and have also heard the same feedback from them. All in all, thank you Dr. Kraus & team for being so good at what you do :)

DR. ILANA KRAUS and Ivy are the best dental team I've ever experienced. They way they banter and get the job done in the most efficient and thoughtful manner made me almost happy to be there. Dr Kraus really takes the time to talk to you and is a very personable human being. I can't say enough good things about the Dr and Ivy. Great work Great job. I'm so pleased they are sorting my teeth out. Dr Plaitis is great too.Mark Strachan
