Customer service leaves a lot to be desired here. I made a call for a small sheet of metal, and came in to pick it up, and it was the wrong size. Somewhere down the line, either I misspoke, or sales wrote it down wrong. I paid beforehand, presuming that the metal was the right size, but when I got it it was tiny. I corrected them, and they made another order. The second order was correct, but was an almost identical price. I presumed that I wouldn't pay again, but I ended up paying double for a small sheet. While I might have misspoke (and apparently agreed to the wrong dimensions, which I don't remember being repeated back), sales never questioned why the piece was so small, and did not even try to sell me a bit more metal to make it worth the price (or even more pieces of it). When we called back to complain, they were adamant that they could not be wrong, and that I was in the wrong.Try a different metal place, or if you need to, make sure that you see the metal before you pay, and make sure it was cut correct. It will save you a lot of trouble.

I came to Belleville Metal Sales after encountering a competitor who, when asked about 8 short pieces of pipe, told me, “It’s over there; see what you can find.” I had come with specific dimensions, but no measuring tape.I left empty-handed, and not a ‘regular’ in this business, expected the same nonchalant service at BMS. Absolutely NOT the case!I was treated with respect (no question is dumb) from when I walked into the sales room ‘till loaded and driving out of the yard. The counter rep. even helped me select best material, and cutting was free.Coincidental it was close to Christmas, but a great present anyway. I can’t say anything about others’ experiences, but I know where I’ll go next time I need steel.

Excellent service

Courteous and knowledgeable staff, but high prices. Inquired about an order and was quoted just over $200 and 3 weeks delivery. I phoned a major competitor in Peterborough and they were $43 and 1 week delivery.
