Excellent service. My son and I were traveling from Alaska to Oregon to pick up a custom trailer. My trucks right front wheel bearing went out a few miles from Lance’s shop. I pulled in and he immediately inspected the vehicle, called and had a new hub assembly on site and replaced within about an hour. The charge was very reasonable and the entire staff was a pleasure to deal with.

Great team, were able to fit me in on super short notice due to a cancellation to deal with a critical wheel bearing issue with my car. Thank you to the Freelance team for all your help seeing me on such short notice - car repairs are never fun but it's nice to know you have a solid person you can trust looking at your vehicle.

We’re passing through from Vancouver to Tuktoyaktuk and needed to lower our headlight since we were getting flashed at night even though we didn’t have high-beams on. Lance was super nice and did a quick headlight adjustment for us for a very reasonable $20. We were in and out in ~30 min.

Lance and the rest of the team are absolutely top-notch in all facets of auto repair from problem solving, part procurement and speedy completion. Above and beyond that, they could teach a master class on customer service and communication - probably the most difficult aspect of their business: constantly giving bad news and tempering expectations. I was really glad to find a brilliant mechanic who really knows his stuff.And also was more than honest and fair.I had a power loss problem. 2 other shops had replaced all kinds of sensors, wires, plugs, a catalatic converter, etc, etc. But they failed to fix the power loss problem!I took it to Freelance. When I described the situation he knew exactly what the problem was: A cracked flex plate".He gave me what I felt was a very fair and reasonable estimate. He later called to confirm the inspection confirmed the flex plate was cracked.Then I got more news. He had inspected the vehicle and discovered dangerously worn out ball joints. The other mechanic shops had not inspected like that.When I picked up the vehicle it ran like new. Power was really excellent and smooth. It also handled way better thanks to the new ball joints. I was shown the defective parts

Amazing service! We got stranded in Smithers when our fuel pump went. Chrissy went out of her way to make time for us and Lance came and found us at Tim Hortons. He got us started, and made time to replace the pump for us that day! Got us back on the road in less than two hours! Highly recommend them if you ever need mechanical help in Smithers!

This December, my boyfriend and I were traveling through Smithers on the way to Washington when our Bug broke down. Lance was amazing. He called all over town to try and find parts for us. They finally got a hold of someone who had the parts, gave us directions, and sent us on our way.We are very thankful for Lance and all of his help!

Well I was not able to use his Services due to my own time restrictions I felt it was necessary to leave a review about how top notch Lance and his other team member at the counter was. Lance is a super knowledgeable guy very friendly to a customer he's never met before within 10 seconds of talking to him I knew if I had the time to wait for him to fix my truck I definitely would have the lady at the counter was very friendly and gave very good information to try and help me with my situation I really appreciate the time that they spent with me even though we did not make a transaction if you have a mechanical issue I would highly suggest checking Lanz out!
