Margaret Lai Makeup and Hair

Margaret has been doing the hair and makeup for my sister, mother and myself since a family wedding 15 years ago. She is the one we call for any special occasion because we know she’ll make us look our best! She’s very easy going and open to working with looks we have in mind.

I had the pleasure of using Margaret’s services on two separate occasions. The first one was my wedding ceremony last year and the second time for my dinner reception this year. I first met Margaret for my makeup and hair trial back in 2019 and she did an amazing job. Her attention to detail was top notch and my hair and makeup was flawless. I received a lot of compliments from family and friends on both occasions. She was friendly, professional and punctual. I had the pleasure of getting my hair and makeup done by Margaret for my elopement this May. At first, I was nervous about getting my makeup done professionally - I don’t normally wear a lot of makeup and didn’t want to look completely different. But I’m so glad I got my hair and makeup done by Margaret. Everything turned out beautifully (and stayed impressively intact through a chilly few hours outdoors) and I love the way my hair and makeup look in all the photos. Margaret was also very careful and considerate about cleanliness and health & safety, including allergies, which made me feel extra comfortable. She is also just a really lovely person.
