My husband and I stayed for two nights a few weeks ago when my beautiful niece got married at the Park. I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a lovely quaint hotel, clean rooms, very comfy bed and the staff went above and beyond during our stay in many ways! The front end staff especially were phenomenal, a very special shout out to my new “bestie” Teresa Cheetaam who made sure we felt welcome and didn’t let us leave until she could say goodbye. We will DEFINITELY be returning and look forward to our next stay at Hotel Selkirk!!!

Went to the cafe today for a late lunch. The waffle fries were room temperature for all 3 of us. Our appetizer arrived the same time as our food. 2 of us ordered burgers and they were under cooked. We mentioned the fries not being hot and the under cooked burgers to our server. He did offer new ones but it was too late. I paid my own bill and chose not to tip. Then my mother started to pay her bill and the server started to lay it on thick that he was sorry our food didn't turn out and that he has to pay to tip out". So he guilted my mom into tipping. For the price of the food

The hotel is excellent very clean and nice!! Beds are comfy we had the suite and it had a pull out couch in the living room. Has Claw foot tub!! No tv but we love staying here. You can also walk around the park after the park is closed. Hotel also includes the park for free during the day! If your looking for something different this is the place to stay!!

We went to the Cafe. The food was excellent. The table service was superb. The seating process was a mess. We waited nearly an hour when they had tables available. They had a lot of no shows for reservations. They held those tables and never gave them out. They lost customers. Once seated it took another 10 or more minutes to have our order taken while tables seated after had their orders taken. Once our order was taken the waiter was awesome from that point forward. The tasty food was worth the trouble but some training and policies on no shows would go a long way.

Our niece’s wedding was in Fort Edmonton Park on the first weekend in May. My wife and I decided to stay at Hotel Selkirk for two nights as it made it more convenient to help out with the wedding. Theresa (asst mgr?) and the team were so welcoming and went above and beyond to help make sure that our stay was comfortable and that we had everything that we needed. Fantastic culture and vibe at this hotel in this historic setting. We will be back!

DO NOT COME HERE FOR BRUNCH. we (2 people) had reservations for 12. we waited in line from 1200-1250 to be seated (50mins). once we were seated all the food was gone or cold. only scraps left. no juice or drinks either. also no refunds on the tickets. the line up went through the hotel and restaurant. packed people standing shoulder to shoulder next to people trying to enjoy a meal. disgusting. definitely not worth $30 each ticket.

The restaurant seems to be run in a very cautious manner. Wasted food is never good, but having almost half of the items unavailable " is unacceptable.I don't expect a response to this review as I've noticed that only positive reviews are replied to.Perhaps addressing critical reviews

Stayed here during Dark and the room was awesome. I loved the cinnamon buns and fresh fruit we were given in our room, it was a very nice touch. I would definitely stay here again. Extremely clean and we may have had a visit from a ghost or two.
