Has taken 5 months to process a simple name change, sent it back multiple times requesting minute irrelevant and ridiculous clarifications. Totally useless and they have the audacity to go on strike!?If they send it back one more time I'm getting the law and my local MPs involved.

Overall, a good experience requesting already-registered documents. I put in an urgent request for a marriage and long-form birth certificate over lunch on a Wednesday. They called me to verify some details on Thursday and later sent it out by Purolator. Received everything at 9AM on Friday. So paying for urgent really does work if you need it.More recently requested a death certificate (regular non-urgent processing) and it arrived in 11 business days via regular Letterpost, which is reasonable.Giving 4 stars because they charge $$$ to just print stuff, meanwhile Eastern and Western EU countries charge $0, and US states usually charge a lot less. Also their online inquiry system will say that your request was processed the day you submitted it, but I really doubt they processed anything when I submitted it at 10PM.

We can see why this place has such low reviews. I called maybe under 10 times. The people you speak with are just strict and sound very rude at the same time. Very unfortunate how some of the workd has become.

Incompetent office and staff. I tried reaching out to them several times, and no one responded. They keep dancing around the issues as if they don't know how to do their job.Here's a more detailed look: My original document, sent to their office in July of 2022, was returned to me in the month of September 2022 (three months later). Fair enough, I figured it would take a while to process my application. However, reading their letter, they hadn't progressed in my application, and quote required more information". Again

They shredded my daughter's birth certificate we sent in after rejecting her name change application for not including a court document (custody or access order) that doesn't exist. The phone number listed on the returned form is out of service and I dont know what to do next other than pay for a lawyer. This can't be legal

if their is a option to give negative ranking it would be the best score that they deserve. they say processing time is 8 weeks for name change application and at 8 week they are taking file in process so file is just sitting up-to 7 week in the office & every week on calling they have same reply its under process & review we cannot tell you how long it will take. I applied for birth certificate for passport also and they are not processing right away even after submitting urgency proof then what the use of urgent services. We need to travel urgently and Have to apply for the child passport & visa. Have even send flight ticket with explanation letter. Everyday whenever I called different Person give different suggestions and advice to wait.They took the payment of certificate 65$ for premium service and when I called they said it’s not necessary to accept urgency. If without reviewing the application how they determine the urgency and how they proceed as a premium service.Pathetic Service.

What a fiasco!This is the worst government department I have ever had to deal with. Trying to get a copy of Canadian birth certificate from Australia. Emailed first asking for clarification as there was no info on the website to suit my situation.Nothing but stock standard replies that take weeks to receive.Filled in all the docs, jumped through all the hoops, paid for an expedited service & 10 weeks later get a letter in the post asking for the same documentation all over again with no explanation why. Terrible!!! Would rate it 0 if I could.

The employers here are very negligent. I paid a sum of money totaling $65 for my birth certificate (emergency premium) and still no response. Employers don't know what they're doing and know absolutely nothing about what they're saying. The lady who was on the phone with me was EXTREMELY rude and seemed to have zero patience. This agency is really a joke, truly a money grab company.. not impressed at all.

Their customer service is best. They are really doing outstanding job. I need foreign divorce authorization for marriage license and they assisted me very well and provided me every detailed information. Even though they quicken the process depending on urgency. I want to Thank every single person who did their job so well.
