Sunrise of Thornhill

I was most impressed by the professional and welcolming efforts of the management team at Sunrise Thornhill. The team really worked together to provide me with a very comprehensive and informative visit. The Executive Director followed up with a very helpful phone call where we discussed my visit further. Sunrise has a good product and they are justifiably confident of it.

Since my father moved into Sunrise of Thornhill we have experienced nothing but love, compassion, and support. A very positive environment to live in and be part of. Bravo to all the staff.

Most nurses are not very pleasant to deal with and unwilling to help when needed. Big shout out to Victoria she is absolutely wonderful with mu Mom and I. Very expensive too and extra charges for anything u go to doctor or nurse for. Need a little more customer service training especially front desk.

There’s never anyone at front desk. I work at a retirement residence as a housekeeper and we cover their breaks or what not. Also the one girl need to work on her customer service skills. Not patient/rude. Not someone you want greeting you when you walk in.

This is a great retirement home! My wifes grandfather lives there and really likes it. There Are plenty of things to do including reading, dining in the restaurant, there is a salon, many common áreas, and nice people working there. They have free coffee and tea and popcorn in the front desk area. It seems like a nice place to Live with nice people. I recommend it for other retirees.

My mother moved into Sunrise of Thornhill just over 5 years ago. Her transition to Sunrise went very smoothly and she adjusted so well with the warmth, friendliness, attentiveness and personalized care provided at Sunrise. Additionally, the wide range of daily activities and programs that are available for residents to do and enjoy have been instrumental in keeping my mom busy, active and social with the wonderful friends she has met. It is important to note that the staff has done a tremendous job in keeping me updated with feedback on my mom and updates on how she is doing, which is especially important for me as I live out of town. Furthermore, whenever I reach out on my end, I have always gotten an immediate response from the Sunrise staff. I feel blessed and relieved knowing my mom is at Sunrise and I am truly grateful for all that they do for each of their residents. Thank you Sunrise.

Our family feels so tremendously grateful to have found the team at Sunrise. With my mum there over a year now, we can definitively say that Sunrise of Thornhill has set itself miles apart from the competition — and we’ve had a fair bit of experience with the competition as well! Each employee is caring and committed, and approaches the most difficult of situations with a kindness and humor that is impossible to find in any quasi-institutional setting. Plus, from the top of the organization to the bottom, everyone is always so exceptionally responsive to any questions or concerns. Our family is so much more at peace knowing my mum is being cared for by the Sunrise team, that her changing needs are being actively monitored, and that our expectations are continually being exceeded. The Assisted Living residency at Sunrise of Thornhill was the best decision we could have made for our Mom after her stroke 5 years ago. Though Mom's physical and medical needs are professionally looked after (a huge comfort over the years), it's the warmth, kindness and personal connection from everyone – management and staff – that impresses. They're good people who do really good work and we're very lucky!

Sunrise of Thornhill is a very professional and warm caring residence. We could not ask for a better environment for our deer friend who is like a family member.
