I was very disappointed about this place. The service was shocking, the food was bland and cold. I ordered the chicken tacos which are $6 each for them to come out tasteless and cold. I told the server to take them back and off the bill straight away. My friend had ordered the Avocado Salad and from the 2 hrs we were there it never came. When the bill was finally brought to us we questioned this with the server as we never received the meal and she replied “really? You didn’t get it?” Even though she was the only one serving our group. So we had to argue to get it taken off.Note: groups of 8 or more has to be on one bill and a 20% gratuity is automatically added.The server finally came back with the correct bill without the Salad. We questioned about the 20% and explained how we had terrible service and didn’t want to pay this and explained we ordered drinks that took over 30mins to come, tacos were returned back to the kitchen, food never came and the server laughed in our faces.To avoid the hassle we paid 18% gratuities on the bill because clearly we weren’t getting anywhere and there was not manger to be seen.I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be unimpressed.

A great outdoor patio! You get a great view of the Bow and the Reconciliation Bridge and other views of downtown Calgary. The food and drinks are good, but pricey. Go during happy hour (3-6pm and I think there is a later one too) to get a better deal. The food is Mexican. It is not a big menu, but sitting outside is wonderful. The service was good too.

I've been here lots of times before and loved it, but came for the first time this season and had a very underwhelming experience. I got the burger which was just extremely bland, and the bottom bun was soggy yet hard, as if it had been defrosted poorly. My date got the shrimp ceviche and was basically just one shrimp taco, not really ceviche at all, and no cabbage despite what the menu said.They've taken the Connie and John's pizza off the menu, but saw later they were still bringing it up for people, really wished I had got that instead. It's pricey but delicious at least.We were also stuck on the shady side by ourselves despite open seating in the sun, which didn't help, and service was quite slow. Very disappointing experience from a place that had been a go-to place for me.

I can't recommend this place, and I won't be back. The rooftop space is great but the food and drinks are pricey, which might be forgivable if they were better quality but they really are less than mediocre. The $150 seafood tower is an embarrassment. Bottom line - don't go, but if you do then go with low expectations. We ignored the reviews and everyone left hungry and dissapointed.

We prefer this place because of the lovely sunset view from the west facing patio, during early summer. But I feel like every time we are there, the service and the food gets worse. I usually order a few appetisers and enjoy the view while I’m there. We ordered the salsa and tortilla chips, which tasted like it’s been sitting on the counter for a long time. It’s tortilla chips, it requires an extra effort to make it bad. After that and seeing how long it takes for 5-6 staff members pick up the trash from the next table, we just skipped food.

I ordered the burger and I have never tasted anything AS BAD as this!! A frozen paddy that was barely cooked and had NO flavour. Two bites in, I pulled the paddy out and are the bun, lettuce & tomato! For $22, I expected a decent meal, instead it was sawdust. Gross. Definitely will not be going back and I will let everyone know my opinion regarding the food. Horrible.

Gorgeous setting, unique views. But… they need sun umbrellas! I know , the wind is sometimes unpredictable. The Bar staff can easily be trained to take care of this to fold them when it happens. Many more people would be up there if there was shade.

Simmons Rooftop Bar
I had the Charred Napa Cabbage Salad. I asked for chicken on it as well. It was so amazing, I really loved the crunch and flavors. The dish was filling. My waitress was super sweet and checked in on me at perfect times (I believe her name is Lane).The view is nice. It was a fabulous place to lunch.
