Good school to learn very traditional Japanese karate! Sensei Vince hosts regular guest instructors who are world level karateka and seminars from Sensei from Japan. Only one Japanese Sensei is authorized to award black belts within Canada...so if you finally get your black belt, you know you've earned it!!

Caledon Karate offers programs for all ages of varying fitness levels with a strong emphasis on families. Sensei Vince teaches all programs-which is very rare nowadays and is highly respected because not only does he teach within the community, he also works within the community as a health practitioner. Former students who are now parents, grandparents and great grand parents come back with their family simply because the core values of any club will always resonate a feeling of respect, character, endeavour and wellness in mind, body and soul!Keep up the great work Caledon Karate!

Throughout COVID, Caledon Karate has been a great way for our children to engage in physical activity. Sensei Vince offers a variety of platforms for his program - from online to in-person - both in informal outdoor settings and more formal indoor settings. As a parent, I appreciate the way that Sensei Vince interacts with my children (through feedback, encouragement, cadence, and corrections). It has been a great experience.More importantly, what we've learned is that karate is much more than just self-defense. It's the 'way of life' that makes it so unique. Having learned karate myself (for a short while), I am able to appreciate the discipline it brings into the young minds of his students, my children. Thanks, Caledon Karate!

An excellent family oriented Caledon institution. I first met Sensei Mazzei while I was recovering from a spinal injury. I subsequently enrolled my daughters at Caledon Karate and I followed suit. They gained confidence and discipline and I was able to train alongside them and recover a strong core. My daughters have since developed into professionals, community leaders, student council presidents, valedictorian and honour roll recipients - this can be attributed in part to their development as part of the Caledon Karate family. I personally have made a non surgical recovery by developing a strong core and have gone on to instruct as well as maintain my training. The rare opportunity to be able to train with your children is priceless! It has become an important part of who I am, largely due to Sensei Mazzei’s family oriented approach and his strength as a mentor.Sensei Dan @ S5

What I have always loved about Caledon Karate, is that it is a 'Family' dojo, & its welcoming of all ages & natural skill levels, high or low, and working from there. I like having all ages around, and men & women too, moms & dads. Even some grandparents like me. It makes it really nice. Something to be celebrated & cherished. That sense of community. What we all seek & are grateful for when we find it.
