Badenoch Tract (Wellington County Forest)

Overgrown grass due to the lack of trail maintenance. We did not want to risk getting ticks, and the mosquitoes are unbearable here. Lots of potential for this short trail, it's truly unfortunate.

It's a short trail that's full of mosquitoes and black fly's. Make sure you bring bug spray, I wouldn't recommend bringing your dog if you have one. There's also no trail map at the entrance to tell you where you're going, to be fair it is hard to get lost. The trail is very narrow and overgrown, there's branches and sticks sitting across the paths. To be honest, it looks like the only people who maintain the trail are the hikers using it which appears to be rare. I drive by regularly and almost never see anyone here, I imagine for a good reason. This short trail has potential for people who want a short walk but it needs to be groomed. There are better places to go for a walk, but you will likely find some seclusion from other people here, just not annoyingly aggressive bugs.
