Mathnasium

My daughter was really struggling with math. She became so frustrated that she would become anxious and teary eyed as soon as she had to start opening her homework binder. We signed her up for 8 weeks at Mathnasium and their reinforcement strategies and group format quickly helped to change her attitude towards the subject. Joe and his team were very patient with her. She was so excited to go each session, the moment she left she was asking when her next class was. By the end of her 8 weeks, she had made significant improvements from her pre-assessment to post-assessment tests. Now, almost 10 months later, she is able to keep up in class and her grades have improves from a C range to a B. She even got her first A in measurement in term 3! We are very grateful to Mathnasium for helping her to not only improve her marks, but learn to enjoy math and the problem solving process.

We have been with Mathnasium for a year now and my son went from 2 grades below average to being on par with students his age! Math is now his strong suit which is phenomenal. Joe and the other instructors are very good with online learning and with keeping him focused. We recommended this centre so much our niece now goes as well! The staff there are very knowledgeable, especially a staff named Kirin. Her knowledge is broad and versatile (she’s very wise). Great at helping with homework questions or just questions in general. 11/10 would let her help me with homework again.

Both my children attend Mathnasium in Waterloo. They really enjoy it and find it has given them the boost in math skills that we were looking for - from shoring up the basics to getting help before a math test at school. Joe is wonderful. He is great with the kids and an excellent teacher. The flexible drop in schedule is so convenient. You can come as much or as little as you need/want. I only intended to send my son there for a few months but it worked out so well for us that he has been there for over a year and my daughter joined as well!

Despite lots of support at home and in school my son still struggled and developed significant math induced anxiety. We looked at a number of other tutoring services. We decided to try Mathnasium. They have lots of one on one help, they customize the tutoring and will even help with what they are currently working on in school. Right away our son gained confidence and after 6 weeks for the first time EVER he got 100% on his math test at school. This isn't some fake review. They really are worth it. I can't recommend them enough. They are wonderful with kids, skilled and patient. Just go in and have a look for yourself. These kids are not sitting there in silence working away looking miserable. They keep them engaged and enthusiastic and will sit and work through problems with a smile. We are so happy with the results and the anxiety has disappeared!
