Huge selection. Staff were great. They have a good knowledge of the products they sell. We were pleasantly surprised to find out it was the annual Moonlight Madness promotion in Hinton last night. Buy one get one at 50% off is an amazing offer. Someone is going to be very happy on Christmas morning.

Love this store. Wicked selection for a small town store. If your going into the Backcountry, they have everything you need. Have had great experience with returns and warranty issues. Staff is awesome aswell!

The staff are super helpful. I was asked politely by a staff member of I needed any help, and she got right down to showing me the locations that could be of possible interest. The items in store may be considered high price, but the do stock quality apparel and are a local store.

I was on a budget for shoes on a couple of occasions. Not only I was able to accomplish my shopping needs, but also pleased with variety of product choices and courtesy of the store associates. And their selection of rare brands (Lowa, Scarpa, Hanwag, etc) is quite impressive. Highly recommend to visit this store.

I am out of place in an outdoor equipment shop and always feel overwhelmed among so much expensive gear that I know nothing about. I went to Maximum outfitters looking for a hiking back pack and the salesperson was knowledgeable and friendly. She showed me how to use the pack and put it on me so I felt more comfortable. Guaranteed, I would have walked out without her help (mostly due to cluelessness) so thank you!! Great store, great staff!

I can say that it is Hinton's best outdoor store. Unlike the usual big stores, you can find many products in this small and cute store. Your shopping becomes more enjoyable thanks to the friendly and caring employees.

Good selection of higher priced hiking/outdoor items. Had some good sales on. Salesperson although helpful was not the most friendly. Other salepeopke seemed much happier. Maybe just was having a bad day. Will be back on next trip through to check out the sales.
