Captured By Kirsten

We hired Kirsten to be our photographer at our cottage wedding in September and to put it simply, she was wonderful to work with.She was personable, kind, experienced and just generally a great person to have around. She quickly learnt our families’ Scottish and Welsh names (not an easy task) which brought a level of comfort and a feeling of friendship to the group. She was creative and her passion for photography was infectious, she made taking the photos a really fun and natural experience. We can’t say enough great things about her, we would absolutely recommend working with her for any type of event!

Disappointed!Kirsten came highly recommended, and we were excited for her to cover our wedding. She was wonderful in the planning stages, incredible on the day of and magnificent with friends and family. Sadly, that is where our positive experience stopped. For reasons unknown to us, Kirsten wasn’t able to deliver the photos that we specifically requested within the time limits detailed in the contract that she authored. Photos were delivered but there were a lot missing; photos of the wedding party were not included in the gallery. We had to email Kirsten and ask her for the photos. It took a long time for some of those photos to get uploaded to the gallery. Once the bulk of the photos were delivered, almost all communication stopped from Kirsten even though there were pictures still missing from the gallery. My wife and I eventually heard back from Kirsten who stated that she didn’t get any of the emails we sent and that she would correct the situation that day. She did not. Further communication attempts either went unanswered or were full of empty promises. Kirsten eventually answered an email and stated that she was away for work and when she returned, she would rectify the situation. She even gave a specific date that she would upload the pictures. That date has come and gone with no communication from Kirsten. My wife and I were married at the end of May, and we still don’t have all the agreed upon photos as of mid-December.I honestly feel that had Kirsten openly communicated with us, the situation could have been different. I have run my own business for 15 years and can fully understand how difficult it can be; I have always been upfront and honest with my clients even if the news wasn’t good. Then I would do everything in my power to mend the situation. We gave Kirsten every opportunity to communicate with us and rectify the situation. I am disappointed that she hasn’t taken the opportunity.

Working with Kirsten is an absolute pleasure. Her planning and timing is perfect. She also can help organize any and all the crazy ideas I bring. Her mind works in so many kind ways where she ensures she captures the best moments, shots and experiences for you. Her studio is absolutely amazing but her skills are OFF THE CHARTS. Kirsten can capture anything from weddings to in action shots along with business branding experiences. Thank you for working with me Kirsten and can’t wait to capture more in future. Also for anyone thinking who is the best person to capture your special day or important moments, don’t even hesitate to work with Kirsten. Always positive results and the best times.

Planning (or re-planning) a wedding during these crazy times was pretty stressful as we downsized our plans, but Kirsten provided such excellent service and professionalism as we figured things out on the go that day! Her experience was invaluable and we can't thank her enough for her flexibility, adaptability, kindness, and expertise!Most of our friends and family weren't able to be there for the celebration, but Kirsten was able to capture such beautiful moments that I can't wait to share (when it's safe to visit everyone)!

WOW. To say Kirsten exceeded my expectations is an understatement. I came into the studio for some simple headshots, and she blew me away. Kirsten was way more prepared than I was, and it wasn’t long before she was tossing out ideas and digging up props. The creativity and thoughtfulness of this girl is second to none. Not only did I come out of the session with some of the best photos of me ever taken, but the whole experience was so much fun — it felt like I was hanging out with a friend!No matter what you need photos of, Kirsten is your girl.

I originally hired her to shoot our engagement shoot in 2018 for my husband and I, which quickly turned into us hiring her for our wedding, and really any other major event in our lives since then. Kirsten is amazing!! We used Kirsten for our engagement photos and on our wedding day and WOW!! She was able to capture our personalities with such grace and ease. During the wedding she kept the mood light and fun to make sure our bridal party was relaxed and captured all of the moments perfectly. Our photos are stunning and we will cherish them forever. Everyone we’ve shown our photos to has said Kirsten did such an amazing job capturing our personalities in them- that’s not easy to do! But Kirsten was able to do it and do it with ease and with the skills of a ninja! It was like having a good friend at the wedding.
