Let me start off by saying I used to eat here religiously. I loved the lamb noodles.I would rate this place a zero star if it was possible. The service here is absolutely horrid. Don't even bother coming here if you cannot speak fluent Mandarin. I've never been treated so badly at a restaurant... Or anywhere for that matter.It left such a bad taste in my mouth. I don't care how tasty the food is... I will never come back.

Love their lamb noodle soup. So hot and yummy! It is about $9 and they require a $5 deposit on the pot so that you will bring it back.One thing I didn't like is that they only take cash even during the pandemic. Many other shops in the mall are like that as well but like, can you be any more Asian? Valueing money over health I guess.

Sides dishes are the best here!This place is known for their noodles in clay pot, which requires a CAD5 deposit per pot. The noodles were good. Actually delicious.But the best were the side dishes. Mountains of spicy shredded potato, tofu strips or seaweed or cucumber. Each for less than CAD5 per plate. And each with its own awesome flavor. Wish I ordered a bowl of rice too.So much food for around CAD20. More than enough awesomely delicious food for two.Like all the other places at the food court, once you are up at the counter, you should be ready to order. This is not a high end restaurant where they will explain every dish and walk you through their menu. One dish from a high end restaurant costs as much as a meal for a family here. So don’t give them a hard time about service.Order your food, pick it up when it is ready and enjoy!

XIANG YUAN QIAO RICE NOODLE is a Chinese style noodle restaurant, which is located in Richmond. There are two locations. One is nearby Metrotown Skytrain Burnaby and another one is in Richmond. Both of them taste are same, but they got two different versions. The one in Burnaby keeps noodles and all the vegetable and meat in the soup. The restaurant in Richmond has more options. People can order either noodle in soup or a dish set of ingredients along with a soup in a bowl. They can put in all the ingredients by themselves into the bowl.Both ways were delicious and tasty. It was my first time came to Richmond Branch and experienced with putting all the ingredients by myself. The soup was hot and fresh. It was good for the winter time. The portions are big too. It worths to come back again.

No flavour, one of the worst soups I've tasted. I don't believe they used chicken broth at all, it's probably just msg. The only good thing is there's a ton of noodles...

Pretty large bowl, generous portions, filling, hot, and good flavours. Can be a long wait when it's busy. Can't expect much for services as that's normal for a busy food court place. However when I was there waiting I did not witness any rude service even though I was actually expecting that. In fact I saw the cashier being patient when a customer put a bunch of change on the table for the cashier to take the exact amount for the order.

I’m been their customer for a long time. The rice noodles tastes good, but the cashier’s attitude is really bad today. When I ordered a rice noodles and told her is for here, even I know there’s a $5 deposit, however she never mentioned it and there’s no smile on her face AT ALL!!! Compared to the other cashier I met before, this cashier’s attitude is way too bad. I hope the manager or the boss can strengthen the training of the staff.

I always see people eating noodles from claypots so I decided to try and order one. Menu is pretty straight forward, either spicy or non spicy soup base (I notice most ppl order spicy) there's a $5 deposit for the claypot. This means when you are finished eating, you dump out the contents at the designated area, and then return the empty pot back to them. And they will give you the $5 back. Back to the food, it does not come with drinks which isn't a big problem considering there's lots of drinks shops in the food court. The best part is the noodles are served steaming hot, so it's best enjoyed in cold weather. But the non spicy chicken soup base tastes bland, the noodles are ok. I'll maybe order it if I'm craving something hot but not a regular dish for me.
