Mastermind Toys

Brought the kids here for some fun and they loved this place. So many toys and so many options. It was a bit overwhelming for them.

What kind of toy shop doesnt carry Hugo Man of a Thousand Faces? or Easy Bake Oven? or Vincent Price Shrunken Head Kit? I also asked if they carried the Cabbage Patch Kids and Strawberry Shortcake and the answer was no. Clerk asked me if I was in coma for last 50 years, not sure why.

My daughter and I love this store. Tonight we were served by Lily, who was fabulous and so kind. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the selection is great. They have good deals on select products, too, and I appreciate that they offer free gift wrapping. We highly recommend Mastermind!

Good toy store but I think it is a bit pricy

Best variety of toys. Things you don't find in toys r us or walmart. Whole family loves it. Way more durable so worth the extra buck

Had a very poor experience at this store and with the manager. Was sold toys that were already used, damaged, returned and then put back on the wall to be sold as new. I found the manager was rude to me when I told her about this. But the customer service line was very nice when I brought this to their attention. I would give the customer service 5 Stars but this store deserves a 1 star.

They are doing the best they can to keep the business running, not a lot of customers, but it's hard to compete with Toys R Us down the road. Kudos to the owner for trying.The store could maybe put the more expensive toys mixed with cheap toys in the same row because maybe people get scared as soon as they see the whole row of 60$ items and nothing less from the moment they walk inside.Someday when more customers shop here I believe the prices will lower for the regular folks. Good luck, and everything looks beautiful inside, with very nice people working there.

I had a traumatizing experience here. I walked into the store and I could hear employees making incredibly rude comments about workers. Being so spiteful and vindictive it made me terrified to even approach them and ask them questions. I could hear them giggle and laugh over my accent and I was brought nearly to tears. They threw the receipt at me and I could tell they were laughing at me when I stumbled over some words. The merchandise was broken and employees were hardly wearing masks. I do not recommend this institution to anyone and I am so upset and plan to seek therapy for the truly horrific experience I had here. It may sound dramatic, but this experience made me feel so small and insecure in ways I have never ever felt before. To have multiple people younger than you make fun of your accent and treat you like a second class citizen is something I do not wish on my worst enemy. My daughter is typing this for me because english is not my first language and I am so saddened.

One of the best toy stores in Ottawa. Great selection of kids toys and games at competitive prices. The store is warm and inviting. Lots of staff on the floor who went above and beyond to make the visit easy and flow nicely. I purchased several books and some toys for Christmas present giveaways.
