Regina Open Door Society based on the services provided after moving from British Columbia to Regina, Saskatchewan:I recently moved from British Columbia to Regina, Saskatchewan and I was referred to the Regina Open Door Society for settlement services. I must say that my experience with the organization has been exceptional. The staff at the Regina Open Door Society are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They provided me with valuable information about the community ,to find suitable housing. They also assisted me in registering for healthcare, obtaining a driver's license, and finding employment.Overall, I highly recommend the Regina Open Door Society to anyone who is new to Saskatchewan Canada or relocating to Regina. The services and support provided by RODS are invaluable, and the staff are genuinely committed to helping newcomers settle into their new community.

Worst experience!Staff here doesn't want to work. They would not guide you properly and completely. As a new immigrant, you can get so much benefits from the government but they would not tell you anything about it.

This people have courses for 6 weeks and so on. But if someone is already working, how the F.. they gonna take course and than u have to do free intenship. Afterthat there is no surelty that there will be jobs so this organization is only fornewcomers. Not for students, not for people struggling on work permits, never got help from this people in years. They will just keep saying do cover letter course this n that which is not even helpful in any aspects. There are no courses conducted in weekends so people like me will always struggle to get better jobs and career. I wish I could give in -negative ratings

The prime port of call for landed immigrants of whatever status. Their services include helping people settle in, providing data for valuable resources, and tailoring skills to make a good fit for the Canadian job market. They also assess the educational background of children not born in Canada. We found them useful when we first landed, and I definitely recommend their services.

I came here to teach youth as a part of Youth Leadership Program conducted by Toastmasters. It's a great place and I enjoy seeing youth and teenagers involved in a lot of activities. The staff are very friendly and supportive.

As an immigrant, I can’t say that I’ve had a good experience with regina open door society. As an organization that is specifically made for welcoming new comers and refugees, this should not operate the way it does. It’s so unfortunate because new comers to Canada look up to you guys for finding ways to settle in.Recently, I had a weird experience regarding a Job vacancy that left a deeper mark on the resentment I felt towards RODS when I first landed in regina. I wouldn’t have typed this review if the phone call today didn't remind me of how there’s so much with the staff and the organization itself that is still lacking. You have to be a source of comfort and acknowledge people to make them feel respected as an individual. That’s just common courtesy to treat anyone. However, personally, I think there’s so much for them to learn regarding how to acknowledge immigrants issues and genuinely help them to settle.
