Dr. Valia was my family's doctor for years. She actually came to visit when I was born, I left the practice as we relocated outside of Ottawa, and when I moved back for college and then ended up staying, she took me back as a patient. She was a 5 star doctor, what I really loved about Dr. Valia was that when she was retiring she found a doctor to take over her patients who is also a 5 star doctor. She is my doctor as well as my sons doctor.She is a doctor who gets things done in a timely matter.They have great reception staff AND excellent after hours clinic for urgent issues.

I really like this practice for many reasons. Dr. Whatley has been my family doctor for almost 4 years and everytime I've had a health concern he has been attentive, respectful and explained pros and cons of different treatments. He is not offended when I do my own research. The rest of the team is also great, always respond to my calls and messages within hours. When I need a document or a prescription refill it gets done quickly. I like that they have their online system to communicate with patients and ensures your personal information is protected.

Our families experience with Dr. Whatley has been good.Honestly, we were just happy to have a GP after moving back to Canada a few years ago, and he was taking new patients. We don't use him that often, but when we do, the experience is fine.

Dr. Whatley is at best vaguely neglectful and at worst an active danger to the health of his patients. He ignored a series of referrals from other health practitioners about an elderly relative of mine, resulting in several preventable hospitalizations; he lied about the content of test results for another relative that showed serious health problems, saying they were normal, which we only found out wasn't true years later. He is condescending, dismissive, and incurious, especially with women and those he perceives to be women. Better to have no family doctor at all.
