The best cake in HRM. Not much to add

The food they catered for my Mother in law's funeral reception was spectacular.

This was the first and last time I’ll order catering from Scanway. I normally don’t write negative reviews but after my feedback was not acknowledged via email, I figured this is the next best place to share it. To say I am disappointed in the quality of their Christmas meal would be an understatement. Half of the meal was missing from each individual meal package ordered (turkey, stuffing, vegetables and gravy). I am grateful that the team drove to deliver the missing components of the meal but am so dissatisfied in the quality of the meat served - only fatty pieces of the bird and uncooked vegetables. I suspect this is what was left at the end of their meal preparation. I purchased $$$ this meal for my family because my sister had a very sick newborn at home and I wanted to relieve the burden of meal preparation on Christmas Day. I was so embarrassed to get call from her about all of the things that went wrong with this order and it’s with that I will not be ordering from this company again.

I got a lobster roll from here as part the picnic lunch package to George's Island and it was horrible. Terrible dry and untoasted bread, bad lobster, they even put some lone greens on the ends of the roll because there was barely any lobster in it. Do not buy the lobster picnic if you take the George's Island ferry.

Recently contacted Scanway Catering to provide the food & staff to host a very important party for our family.Melisa was the administration contact person, very organized and helpful; first step she tentatively booked the date and emailed the extensive menu for our review.The menu provides the variety of foods available, and the different choices of presentation. The pricing was very easy to understand.We contacted Melisa with a few questions, which were quickly forwarded to the chef, and answers were provided so decisions could be made. We finalized our menu and excitedly waited tomeet the chef for the on site" visit which was to happen the week before the event.As scheduled

Tremendous food with intricate and delicate preparation. Staff are tremendously friendly. Would recommend 10/10.

Came late, guest were arriving while they were setting up. Food was good, but not outstanding, but that’s minor for sure. The worse issue I had with them was that we ran out of bacon and scallops and they had a pan full that they didn’t cook and were taking away with them and actually were taking much of the uneaten food. Until I spoke up and asked if they would be discounting it off the bill they said no we will just throw it out. Now why would you not have said, there is a lot of food left, what would you like us to do with it? We had to scrabble to get all the uneaten food from their dishes to our own. Even the guests had to help.

Scanway has been a great catering company to deal with. They went above and beyond to make sure our event was a success. The staff that helped organize our event were very professional and helpful with recommending menu items. The presentation was top notch. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

Scanway Catering TRULY outdid themselves for our New Year's Eve wedding reception at Citadel Hill! The number one compliment we received was on our food. It was APLENTY! We had canapés as well as reception stations and not one person left hungry. Our DJ said it best - I've been to a lot of weddings, and most either have food that looks beautiful or tastes delicious, but not both, and yours was both. When we walked into the room and saw the displayed food our jaws fell to the floor. It was stunningly set up, and just so delicious. Scanway also created two croquembouche for our dessert table which looked so elegant. Also, during the planning process, Raj helped us to plan the menu and order the correct amount of food for the guests and style we chose. Thank you to Raj and your team for making our wedding reception so perfect. PLEASE choose Scanway for your next event, they do not disappoint!
