We moved to the area recently and I needed to leave my job as I could not work remotely. My husband and I discussed adding and T.H to our farm so I could run a B&B instead of going back to work full time. We approached Ivan and Gini last spring about building a home that would be suited for not only rental income but that could double as guest and family space down the road. Ivan is SO funny and smiles all the time - even when we asked him to do crazy things like change roof lines, install a coffee bar, re-think the location of electrical panels, add a huge full size shower and stay on budget. Gini ran a B&B for many years and was an absolute saint with planning the space and make most use of the floorplan. We ended up with a totally custom T.H that everyone absolutely loves. I highly recommend Ivan and Gini as they are the real deal. There are not many mom & pop" businesses anymore who are approachable

I am filled with glee when I think of my bright and beautiful tiny home! Ivan and Gini were a delight to work with - communicative, honest, kind, and welcoming to my family. Gini and Ivan took the time to get to know me and ensure the design met my needs and preferences. Updates and photos were sent to me as the build was in progress, keeping me excited and informed. The team were amazing, maintaining the timeline while navigating delays caused by widespread material shortages. The attention to detail and quality of work both blew me away. My jaw was on the floor as I toured the finished product for the first time. I enthusiastically recommend Vancouver Island Tiny Homes to anyone looking for a home that happens to be tiny.

We hired Ivan to build us a pretty giant tiny home on very short notice and he went above and beyond to make it happen on the timeline that we asked for. He also stuck to our budget which was amazing! We appreciated that he and Gini were very open with communicating with us throughout the process and always insisted that things were double checked by us to make sure they were what we wanted. We were successfully moved in on time thanks to their hard work. Our advice to new tiny home dwellers is to look at and visit as many tiny homes as possible before you begin your build. We have learned so much since moving into our tiny home and throughout the process despite thinking that we had done a lot of research going into it. We love living in our tiny home. I had an amazing experience with Ivan & Ginny this year. They always addressed any concern or question I had right away - I was so new at all this. They kept me informed at all times & welcomed my visits during the build (26 foot). I love my tiny home & have had many compliments. I would definintely recommend them (& have) to family & friends. Thanks so much Ivan, you did an amazing job - I'm so grateful. I am now able to enjoy my retirement as I had hoped.

My wife and I recently went through the planning stages for a new tiny home build with Ivan and Gini. Though we ultimately decided that a tiny home wasn’t right for us, Ivan and Gini were both wonderful throughout, always professional, warm, and accommodating of our plans and ideas. We toured two of their finished homes and came away quite impressed with the quality, and Ivan’s expertise in this type of specialized construction was always evident in our talks. Overall our experience with Vancouver Island Tiny Homes was extremely positive, and I only regret that we weren’t able to go through with the next stage of our build.

There is so much to look at it was fun!!! I think the only thing is it's hard to get someone on the phone. It's more of an email, and we we will get back to you aswc. I did find putting a tiny home on paper easy, but I can't wait to go and check them out.

Ivan and are amazing. From the beginning until the end of the build they were extremely professional, transparent, honest. They really cared about me and my needs and they would accommodate all my requests to the best of their ability. Ivan is a true artist and his craft is exquisite. He is so kind and made everything possible to make sure I had exactly what I wanted. He works with all professionals and guarantees the job. 100% integrity and reliability. They were always communicating with me and replied very fast to any concern. Their timeline was respected and they delivered on time. My house is gorgeous, and their pricing very reasonable. If I could I would give them 6 stars or more.
