Service was excellent as always, the food on the other hand not so much, we visited a month ago and the food was excellent and the portions were accurate for the price you pay. $32 for a sandwich that was overflowing with beef and a poutine that filled half the plate, tonight the sandwich had half the beef as before and the poutine was this small bowl. We felt bad as we hyped this place up to our family that was visiting from out of town and this was the experience. Thankfully the service is still great. Lastly, it must have been a busy day- or maybe not enough ingredients ordered. 2/4 people at our table couldn’t order their first pick as they had just sold out, cheese dip for a starter was sold out and one side we ordered had to come out late as they had also ran out of Kale, but did bring it out later on. Not sure if we’ll be back as the price just doesn’t reflect the portions anymore (in our opinion).

We stopped in Lacombe for lunch on our way to Edmonton. It was a beautiful day and when we saw the patio and decided to eat here. The food was amazing. It was fresh, delicious and unique. There are vegetarian options and a great selection of non-alcohol drinks and cocktails. They even have a flight of non-alcoholic cocktails.

We stopped in here while driving through the area and we're so impressed by the service and the quality of the food. Absolutely top notch. The beer selection is also really expansive and the ambiance was lovely.

Was so pleased with this place. Met with my cousin for lunch, with my toddler daughter. Great vibes, family spot or place for drinks with friends. Impressed with non alcoholic menu, never had craft soda! Super fun local swag available. Even though busy, excellent service. Food was delicious. Love the bathroom selfish ha ha!

My experience of the food here was different than the rest of my 10 person party.I got the fish and chips. I'll start by saying the fries are delicious. Robust, square cut, no nonsense. A good crisp with a soft potatoey interior. I got a side of gravy because fries and gravy are life, but their gravy was pretty uninteresting. I think it's meant to go on poutine, so it may be underseasoned to work with those dishes better. Good texture, but only really reminiscent of drippings flavour. The coleslaw was weird. Really weird. It had apples in it which is a great concept, but then it also had dill?? The fish itself had a good breading, but not enough fish to go with it. It mainly tasted like the batter, and therefore was a bit overly salty. I did love that they were fish finger shaped so I could just dip them in the tartar.Everyone else seemed to have enjoyed their dishes. The bison burger, the rainbow kale salad, the noodle bowl, and the chicken gnocchi. So it was mostly my choice I think, and possibly even my tastebuds because I believe the fish and chips was marked as a customer favourite on the menu. I'd give this place 3 stars, but based on general consensus it got another star. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere is really pleasant. Plank tables, dark wood, reclaimed doors for dividers, etc. Gendered washrooms, but not offensively so.

Kids menu is lacking. I firmly believe in order to give this restaurant 5 stars that the kids food should be better. My oldest ordered the honey garlic chicken and it was about 3/4's of a small chicken breast cut into strips with sauce. That was it! Side was cut up veges. It was very small for a 9 year old (it says up to age 10) and seemed incomplete. My youngest ordered the cheesy noodles (spiral noodles with cheddar cheese sauce) and it was a good sized serving however it was plain pasta with a few shreds of grated cheese melted on it. I wouldn't call it a sauce, and the waitress had compared it to homemade mac and cheese. My daughter who normally likes plain pasta with butter did not enjoy it because I don't even think there was butter. My dish was smoked chicken tacos and was truly delicious and unique. My husband got the crunch burger and it was good. We also enjoyed the fuzzy peach kid drinks and the lemonade. The service was quite good and timeliness of the food was okay even though it was very busy. We would come back likely without kids.

Definately my new favorite restaurant just sooo far away from us. We went to Lacombe location on a refferal from a few people and I gotta say it did not disappoint and only suprized us and made us all love it! We came from Ft.Saskatchewan met family from Calgary there and all had a amazing time there with the neatest best tasting food. Can't wait to go back. Great service and atmosphere. Back patio is awesome aswell. Try the quad burger!!

I've seen Cilantro and Chive on social media and decided why not check it out? A couple of friends and I made a mini day trip of it. Popped into a couple of the little shops around town (ONA Café, Downton & Co) and Blindman Brewery. The service at Cilantro and Chive was fantastic! Server was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. I ordered the bison burger, one friend had the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese and the other had the philly cheese sandwich with a poutine. We all ordered a Caesar (2 garlic and one bacon) and we all really enjoyed them. If you are ever in Lacombe or passing by, it is worth a stop to grab something to eat. Thank you for a tasty meal Cilantro & Chive!
