Huron Oaks Golf Course

The servers are hit and miss. Sometimes they are great and sometimes they can't be bothered to take our order. The place closes early on Wednesdays and we are often rudely kicked out. This place has potential to be a great spot but I just haven't had great experiences.

Took my grandson for golf lessons and Cameron is absolutely amazing!! Just makes you feel good and relaxed and even when you do a bad shot he finds something positive to say about it! Also the staff are very friendly and ready to help.

To begin with my party of 14 had a 9:30am reservation at the restaurant. The table was not set up when people started to arrive. We waited almost an hour to even get a drink order taken.When all was said and done one person didn't even get their breakfast. No offer was made to reduce the bill. The waitress was rude to the entire party like we were the cause of the problem.Our reservation was made a week in advance so it's not like we arrived without warning.Let's talk about the food now.... the potatoes were cleared yesterday's food that were reheated in the microwave because they had no browning and were very dry. The breakfast sandwich I got was comparable to McDonald's in appearance and taste, I might have actually preferred McDonald's version. Our drinks were rarely refilled and when they were it was done in a rushed fashion leaving coffee and hot water all over or table with nothing to clean it up.So the moral of the story is to avoid eating here.

I've enjoyed the fresh, variable and delicious food served at Huron Oaks since Phil Washington took over. He doesn't prepare the 'usual' boring bar selections. He offers up delectable appetizers like pork dumplings, mezze platter and yummy ribs. We haven't had anything on his menu that wasn't worth coming back to order again and again.

It was great to get out while it lasted. The course was in relatively great shape for the time of year. The big tree on no. 6 has been taken down so you can aim for the pitchers mound. The course is the same solid test. Looking forward to the lockdown ending.

Great layout, great conditions, challenging but fair, greens run true. Haven’t spent time at restaurant or facilities but golf staff are great and course is a joy to play and worth travelling to from out of town! The Mike Weir connection doesn’t hurt!

Overall the course is probably a 6/10. Opening hole looks great, and might be the nicest. Back 9 is tighter and more challenging making you select different clubs off the tee. The signs at the tees with the hole layout and yardage are in very poor condition and could use an update. Pro shop seems out of place in the middle of the parking lot. Riding carts are new and in good job shape, push/pull carts (2 wheel) could do with an update. Greens are well maintained, fairways aren't bad perhaps a little long, tee boxes could use some work. For the price it is what you would expect.

What a fantastic venue for live music! Having been a member of the actual golf course I can tell you that the course is fantastic! From a music lover's point of view, the restaurant area sets up really well for events! Seeing Red Wanting Blue, great band out of Ohio there just last month, I can attest to the sound quality, the vibe, the solid service and the manager's professionalism. Got an event? Disappointing doesn't come close to describing my entire party's experience at this establishment on Sunday August 25, 2019. I scheduled in advance a group of 14 people to celebrate a special family occasion. It turned out to be the worst restaurant experience I have ever had!When the first people in our party arrived the table wasn't even set up. The waitress was beyond rude from the moment we arrived until we left. We had 2 menus for a party of 14! Can I get a refill on my drink...hello...hello...waitress.............did she go home?If you're planning a special event and want service of any kind this is not the place to go. One person in our group did not even receive his meal. No apology from anyone, I had to ask that his children's meals be refunded to him. This should have been the offer that came with the apology for forgetting his meal altogether.When our food order was taken we were not asked about toast that came with our meal. When the meals arrived the hash brown" was clearly yesterdays baked potato that was being recycled by reheating in the microwave. It was dry and disgusting. Note to chef

Great seafood chowder, had the encrusted tuna special also nicely done. Great service with Joel, beautiful view of the course while sitting on the patio. Highly recommended.
