Barlovento delivers quality Spanish language training. Javier developped a tremendous curriculum with a strong emphasis on conversational Spanish. Students are expected to study on their own in order to reap the benefits from the lessons. Overall I am very happy with my experience and hope that more Advanced classes will be available in the future

I attended the level 1 class in MIssissauga. Javier is wonderful teacher and a friendly person. His methods are effective as he breaks the language down into simple, easy to understand technique for learning. his language calculators are so easy to use. In addition, he spends time explaining culture, historical context etc which really adds value to learning the language. the course material is good and sufficient for a beginner to get on to a new language. I liked the level 1 course and will be going in for level 2 soon.

I have taken part in a number of programs with the team at SpanishTO and have been completely satisfied. The process is informal and enjoyable. I highly recommend them if you are hoping to learn just a little or a lot. In fact, I'll be back again in January!

I recently completed my beginner Spanish 1 coarse with Javier at the Mississauga City Center location. I have decided to enroll into Spanish classes for personal interest. The class had a total of 4 students. The classes are personal and interactive and go at a comfortable pace. There are booklets and videos provided to assist your studying while at home. Javier the instructor has done a fantastic job in providing visuals for all students to help better understand the sentence structures and grammar of Spanish. This was extremely useful as I am a visual learner.I have recently enrolled in the beginner Spanish 2 coarse because I am very interested in continuing my learning with the Barlovento school of Spanish. It has been a wonderful experience and I look forward to going back. I recommend this class to anyone who has an interest in learning Spanish.

Barlovento School of Spanish not only teaches you a beautiful Spanish language but the approach of it is excellent. At first you learn about a beauty and the melody of the language then in a very friendly environment step by step you learn to carry on a conversation to be able to communicate and feel the climate which makes you want to learn even more. I took two courses which prepared me well enough to travel to Ecuador and communicate with my friends which made my trip so much more enjoyable . Now that I'm back I'm really looking forward to learn more and to attend more courses offered by that excellent school.Joanna

I came to this class with below basic knowledge and I am now on a conversational level. Thanks for the interactive way of teaching by Javier and the way he encourage students to converse without the hesitation of being wrong or right. He teaches professionally while supports students learning on a more practical level such as how one would converse on a daily basis.

Javier is a great teacher and knows how to instill the language in a unique way that engages, uses visuals, simplifies material and intuits his students' skills and strengths, he definitely offered a motivated, fun and positive class environment for our daughter.
